  1. Took the trike out for a little ride yesterday. Though I certainly know better, I had not checked the tire pressure since buying it. Having sat for about a year before I purchased it, I knew better. So I checked the tire pressure before taking it out yesterday and all three were VERY low. Rear tires had about 14 lbs in them and the front about 24 lbs. Aired them up to the proper recommendations and it was amazing how much better it handled. Even the vast majority of the headshake that I had experienced was gone. I was cruising happily down the road when I started loosing power. A quick glance at the gas gauge showed that I was on empty. Having gotten used to fuel injection, I momentarily forgot that I had a "reserve". I hadn't ever used the aux tank before so I just reached over and hit the switch and waited as the bars increased on my gas gauge. I never had to pull over, the bike almost immediately regained power and I continued riding and let it fill from the aux tank until it was about 1 bar from full. I know that you can overflow the main tank if you don't pay attention. It worked amazingly well and I am very happy with it. Otherwise, it was a short but enjoyable ride.

  2. Yeh slushy winters suck!!! I miss the good old days when winter was winter (nice dry cold and snow stayed snow instead of turning to slush) spring was spring summer was summer and fall was fall. When men where men women were women (tom boys allowed) and children where children. When adults determined right from wrong versus the me/me youth of today. When relationships developed into a Mom a Dad and several wholesome children raised by their natural or adoptive parents instead going from birth to day care, to school at age three. kids need to be kids for at least the younger part of their lives instead of being turned into instant little adults (even pups and colts get time play and kick their heels). They need to see more of their parents than their nursemaids. I miss the when sticks and stones may have broke your bones but words never hurt you. When arguments where settled with bare fists in 15 minutes behind a building or bar and the outcome signed off with a hand shake and a shared beer or 2 or 3 or 4 ....... Instead of spending half your life in a lawyers chair sometimes for years while they sucked back on your life savings put you in a state of anxiety resulting in alcohol and drug over indulgence. Weekly visits to a shrink (more of your life savings gone). But apparently we are now more civilized....... Just My Humble Opinion......... Someone once said Life was more fun being 20 in the 70's than being 70 in the 20's

  3. No, I did not and that's a good point. I'll try it later but I know that it handles much better with air in the tires.

  4. Nice job.....I've thought about giving it up, but I've had the same Molly Hatchet tape in it for 8 or 10 years now.....Still love remembering that it's in there and playing "Dreams I'll never see"....Great song.
