I just lowered the front of my 2010 Yamaha Royal Star Midnight Venture. I did the procedure of lowering the triple tree on the front forks. I dropped it down 1 inch and what difference from feeling top heavy to better balanced. Much easier off the kickstand, even with a full tank of fuel. Handling has improved, took it out up to 70 mph and no issues at all. I want to thank the people who posted this procedure, now I can be flat footed with some bend in my knees, It took me about 2 hours, lots of wiring to disconnect, but not bad at all.

I know I know, if I had wrote a list of everything I was told to do I would not have enough time, but since I can't remember _______. I'm almost ready 😁

Quick update, two left hand side carbs were leaking, I've got it down to one (front left). I can't go for a ride as it's MOT (government safety inspection) has ran out and leaking fuel would be a fail. Also discovered the petcock isn't turning the fuel off. So I'll have a look at fixing that first. Good job I enjoy working on bikes 😆

I grew up on a farm in southern Manitoba , where there very little traffic of any kind ...Every farm boy by the age of 6 years has been driving a tractor and a farm truck by 13 years old ....At 13 I made many a trip into town to pickup parts ..When I turned 16 my mother took into town to the police station for a drivers test ..So happen the police chiefs son and I were in the same class in high school ..When my turn came for the drivers test the police chief and I got into my mother car and he looks at me and says have I seen you driving in town before ...He then told me me to do a series of parking and driving events ..The whole driving test took about 10 minutes ...He looks at me and says drive back to the police station , as he walked past my mother he says to her keep an eye on him he may want to go for ice cream before he leaves town ..

They look pretty cool but way more money that I would spend.

Vogel....Vogel....??? I've heard of it but don't know what it is or what it's about. Do tell.....Seems to make sense to make any reservations as far in advance as possible....

Made it home, no rain thought for sure we would be drenched. Great to see everyone, ready for Blairsville next year and hopefully more events.
