  1. Hell don’t feel bad I didn’t even mention my RSV model and year to get an answer! FWIW mine is a 2006 Midnight and I’ll just take the other sides bolt out and match it up at HD. After I return from Daytona however😎

  2. Its been a few years since I posted. I would be interested in attending a west coast rally. I thoroughly enjoyed myself at the Dalles OR and was surprised when so many came to the one I hosted up here by Mt. Shasta. I'd offer to host another in this area, however we now have a "new" season its called "smoke"; it can start at any given month and is nasty to ride in. It is often next to impossible to ride out of when the west coast appears to be going up in flames!

  3. What a nice way to devour a Sunday morning. After several weeks of umm-ing and ah-ing I decided to get some professional help. Not needed!! I stripped, cleaned and repaired the slave cylinder (helpfully known as the clutch activator in the service manual and parts list)!. Just need a new gasket for the cover and its done. Followed these instructions: https://venturers.org/Tech_Library/index.php?action=article&cat_id=001006&id=51&highlight=clutch and Robert is your mother's brother.

  4. In the past I have used a 2 amp trickle charger and a wall plug timer. I set the timer to come on for one hour a day and it worked great. I now have a Deltran battery tender (not a Knock off) and it works great.

  5. I would be more inclined to replace with a new unit since I have seen even rebuilt ones fail shortly after. For some reason compared to calipers the clutch slave seems to be a little more sensitive to surface imperfections and thought it is not difficult it is a bit of a PITA. and if your like me I prefer to do it only once. BTW you can remove the slave without removing the gear cover but how easily it goes back into place depends on which side of your mouth you hold your tongue.
