  1. thanks for all the suggestions and help from the forum, the bike is just about ready for me to pick up next week with new tires, brakes, battery, carbs cleaned and synced, fluids replaced and tested out by the awesome shop I found- Ryan at the shop is going to have his first baby just before I get there to pick up my new baby- then it's off to Bloomington IN for first night with some friends, on to Sioux City IA, Sturgis SD, Missoula MT, Spokane WA and Seattle- going to try and get off the interstate where I can, maybe in the Cheyenne or Bighorn, maybe Lolo if the weather is good and I have enough time- will post some pics from the road, here's Frank and his bike last time I rode with him a few years back

  2. I went cheap and used hose clamps. Aint pretty but worked. Only thing on the HD pipes was there was a couple years there they had a Cat in one side. Somewhere around 2009 ish I think.

  3. Argh Man I feel for ya. I remember them days, ask CE all of what you think are right questions only to have a knuckle ball tossed at ya. No decision for me yet. Got some major out lays for fence and shed so I dont see tiles in my future. But There are some decent ones out there made by "the big guys" under different names. If your not doing 600sq ft or something it should work well. Easier to ask forgiveness than permission.

  4. I've been away for a while. After I drain all of the oil and replace the bottom O ring I replace the oil with 125ml of Honda 10w Suspension Fluid. I use a cheap ($5) meat injector from Walmart to replace the oil. After removing the needle it screws directly onto the schrader valve. I've attached O ring replacement instructions, a photo and a drawing of a simple tool I designed to make the job easy. PM me with any questions you may have.
