Well was about 4 hours or so. But man they have it jammed in by the shock and you have to disassemble the unit from the bracket and take it all out separate. But that is after jacking the bike up and taking apart the push rod and shock and rocker. But its mostly back together. I just got plain hot with 100 heat index and only have tank and seat to put on. High point was the tank only has about a gallon of gas in it. That has to be a first.

Thanks all. I will be adding them on my check/do list. Just the wait for it to arrive now whenever that may be. I know I will be nervous until I see it in the flesh and know what I have got into. I did the research though so am fairly confident it will all be good if not better than I expect but still still going to be happier once I can touch it. Mike

I have seen times when we finally figured out a way to work around a nasty piece of engineering only to have them redesign it and toss in a new stumbling block......I swear they do this on purpose and then sit back and snicker at us.

Check the fuel filter to try and see if it is full of rust particles. Add some seafoam or fuel injector cleaner with PEA to the fuel tank to help clean up those carbs.

I guess you are right on that one...I have had to give up 6 door service contracts costing me thousands of dollars , had to lay a employee . I gave up a 6 million dollar liability insurance policy . Maybe it is time to to retire , but I thought 74 was to young to retire I was /am a emergency service contractor with security clearance .... and just found out that I had to give that up because of not driving .. The jobs that I was getting because of the clearance are gone because of not getting there
