  3. You could, and I am just going off the top of my head here without studying the bikes schematics, I would say you would need two relays one for each light ( Left and right ) since you do not want to interfere with normal signal function. Cut the wire to the left signal light. Connect the wire coming from the the light to terminal 30 and the other wire to terminal 87a. . (which is NC) Now do the same thing with the second relay and the right signal light. At this point the signal lights should work as normal again. Next, tap into the red wire from the back off module and run to terminals 87 of both relays. Connect terminals 85 of both relays to ground Connect terminals 86 of both relays to either the yellow wire of the back off module or the same terminal on the optional switch the yellow wire is connected to. this should keep the front signals operating as normal when the optional switch is off but switch the lights over to the back off module when the optional switch is on.

  7. Thank you, gentlemen for your input. Pulled up tonight and he already had it up on the center stand. Started immediately and purred without choke. Could have been lying through his teeth but said didn't burn oil, no oil leaks & reiterated the issues listed in the ad. He's been driving it to work regularly 80 miles each way on her and said he was still doing it up until last week. Appears to be very well maintained. Lotta cosmetic issues as can be expected but all things considered I'm pleased thus far with the $500 investment. Looking forward to taking the first cruise of many tomorrow! Thx again!

  8. Just a humble suggestion I always leave mine on reserve accept when maybe doing a long trip. The reason for this and this is JMHO is that the way the valve works is by switching between a tall pickup tube and a short pickup tube. When left to Normal fuel is only drawn through the tall pickup tube allowing for a greater amount of impurities (such as Water through condensation or other means ) to build up in the tank. I have even seen the shorter tube clog up because of lack of use. Then if all of sudden you go to use reserve you begin to pick up a greater amount of impurities or because of clogging you get no fuel at all. By always running the bike on reserve or constantly switching back and forth you help to reduce the odds of such a thing happening.
