If I am not mistaken I think I know who the guy is. I ran into him one time while out riding and noticing he rode a venture I struck up what i intended to be a friendly conversation. It went fine until I mentioned Venture rider,, Man did I start getting an ear full and could not get out of there fast enough. I guess he was a member while we were a free member ship and I do remember chatting with him on the site a few times and for all intents and purposes he was an OK guy. But I guess he took a real offense when the dues were implemented and had no problem laying a supersize rant on me. I have since learned he has not let up and continues to bash Venture Rider when ever and were ever he can. Me I rather pay the $12.00 than put up with a bunch of advertising plus Don puts a lot of work into this site to keep things going as smoothly as possible.6 points

Heck with him, I’m still trying to figure out how my $12 has gotten so expensive. Between mods, maintenance, and rallies this place cost me a fortune. 🤣🤣🤣5 points

I personally like paying the $12. Keeps the riffraff out. (Somehow I made the cut 🤫). What I don’t see here that I see in just about every free car forum out there is endless bashing of ideas or questions. I don’t have to sift through 50 -100 posts looking for the three that may help me. I don’t see discouragement. I see genuine honest people with similar interests having a good time.3 points

Thank you, gentlemen for your input. Pulled up tonight and he already had it up on the center stand. Started immediately and purred without choke. Could have been lying through his teeth but said didn't burn oil, no oil leaks & reiterated the issues listed in the ad. He's been driving it to work regularly 80 miles each way on her and said he was still doing it up until last week. Appears to be very well maintained. Lotta cosmetic issues as can be expected but all things considered I'm pleased thus far with the $500 investment. Looking forward to taking the first cruise of many tomorrow! Thx again!2 points

He sent me PMs for days.... basically calling me out from the other side of the continent. I think he may have banned me from his page but I don't think I miss him.1 point

A Police Officer was patrolling late at night off the main highway. At nearly midnight, he sees a couple in a car, in Lovers' Lane, with the interior light brightly glowing. He carefully approaches the car to get a closer look. Then he sees a young man behind the wheel, reading a computer magazine. He immediately notices a young woman in the rear seat, filing her fingernails Puzzled by this surprising situation, the Officer walks to the car and gently raps on the driver's window. The young man lowers his window. "Uh, yes, Officer?" The trooper asks: "What are you doing?" The young man says: "Well, Officer, I'm reading a magazine." Pointing towards the young woman in the back seat the Officer says: "And what is she doing?" The young man shrugs: "Sir, I believe she's filing her fingernails." Now, the trooper is totally confused. A young couple, alone, in a car, at night in Lover's Lane and nothing obscene is happening! The trooper asks: "What's your age, young man?" The young man says: "I'm 22, sir." The trooper asks: "And her, what's her age?" The young man looks at his watch and replies: "She'll be 18 in 11 minutes."1 point

Thank you for thinking up the kit, good pricing, good customer service, good instructions, and fast shipping. I got this from you quicker than I have ever received anything from my dealer. I like my dealer, however like so many of them they do not stock any parts anymore. I went in the other day to have some air added to my tires, they said, "We will have to order that." Yes when he ranted at me that day I met him He had plenty to say about Don that was not exactly flattering and how the rest of us were a bunch of suckers. That's when I told him I that I strongly disagreed with him and was more than happy to pay my annual dues, then turned and walked out. I saw no point in standing there in the middle of Tim Horton's having a strong discussion with someone it was obvious could not be reasoned with. What gets me is this was so many years ago and to hear today that he is still carrying on about this blows my mind.0 points
