  3. Just wondering if anybody else has a Liner ? I will be selling my last Venture, my 86 that I inherited from my son-in-law's passing. We bought it from Red Rooster some years ago. I still have my 2006 Roadliner and just renewed my membership here. Hoping to maybe start a Liner thread .. C'mon any more 1900 113 CI monster bikes out there.. ?

  4. Have mixed feelings about this šŸ˜•! The only thing good about it is that it is going to my son, and I do feel good about that. Well, it's going to a new home. My oldest son is coming to pick it up today. Lots of smiles and miles on that thing for sure. Can't believe how much "stuff" that I have that goes with that bike. I do know that a big chunk of garage floor space will be open. SO----------- I bought a 2004 Harley Fat Boy! Yeah I know, I'll post a pic when I take one. šŸ˜€ I still have the XS650 chopper, 02 Bonny and the 09 650 Vstrom though, so the garage is still Lookin good. And of course I did tell him about this place, although he seems to not be forum guy.

  5. @Gary N. did you try ZEDNO in Kitchener for the E4's ? that is were I usually get mine. Their price is usually pretty good and if you just bring them the wheels they will install and balance while you wait. Before covid I would usually rummage through their warehouse while I wait looking for good used add-ons for my bike. Then again if not for covid and since ZEDNO is in Kitchener which makes it somewhat central to a lot of the Ontario group we could have had a small meet and greet while you wait. BTW if you were happy with the E3's you will like the E4's as well. I ran both and was just as happy with one as I was with the other and got very good millage out of both.

  11. Here is an interesting aspect of all this that I just experienced. Tweeksis stator had gone to ground so I ordered up stator, regulator, gaskets, sparkplugs to get her ready for those trips around the hood.. Stator was advertised with free Priorty Mail shipping.. I got the tracking number and was following it. To fulfill the 3 day priority it had to be here Monday.. Monday was also one of Tips cataract surgery days. When we got home there was no package in the mailbox containing the stator. There was a note on my tracking number that read: NO ACCESS,, Undeliverable. Yes, our road has a barracade on it because of a washed out bridge from last years 500 year floods BUT,, USPS has been delivering on time since Head scratch... I stopped at the post office to pick up the package Tuesday but they would not even talk to me with out the tracking number (never even thought to write it down).. Went home to get it and there in the mailbox was my stator.. Bottom line,, I have a HUGE sneaking hunch that the NO ACCESS was just an excuse to keep the seller from filing a claim and getting a refund on the priority mail costs.. Scammers lol

  13. I've been told that getting old is not for wussies. I plan to find out. I'm 52 and turning 50 was a wake up call to take better care of myself. Cycling, working out and an occasional jog are part of my regimen now along with intermittent fasting, eating lots of fruit & veggies and drinking green tea. But damn, I still like pizza, a good ribeye, hamburgers and ice cream! Be well @bluesky and keep inspiring us!

  14. 60 is the new 40! When I was 59 I got married for the second time to a 42 yr old lady with an 11 yr old son. Retired at 70. Things started going downhill at about 74 when I got shingles and had to quit exercising for a good while. Trust me, you don't want to get shingles. It took about a year to fully recover from that crap. And take statins if you can tolerate them to keep your cholesterol low. I didn't. Big mistake.

  15. Yeah, I want to try something different. I've been on 1st and 2nd gen Ventures since 2004. Had 5 1st gens and 4 2nd gens. It's time for something a little different. Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere, I love all you nuts here, especially you crazy Canadians!

  16. Hey Earl, the bike left, not me.šŸ˜€ I hope your feeling better and stronger each day! I did tell Scott that I got the clutch set up from you. And when I rode with the Venturers a guy bought one of those F6B Goldwings. What a great bike!

  17. Yeah, your right about that. Reminds me to tell him about the Squidley RK muffler brackets. šŸ˜€ I rode with someone, thinnk it was a Venturer who had a Honda F6B Goldwing. Loved that bike

  18. Good on ya, I'm hoping to get rid of my RSV this year and get an F6B Goldwing. It's ironic how we can become so attached to these machines.
