  2. Reminds me of a funny but true story, that happened about 40 years ago. A crane repair shop across the highway from us received a bomb threat. So a swat and bomb team set up a discrete surveillance around the place. After some wait and coming to the conclusion it was probably an idle threat, they began to pack it in, when one of the officers notice the truck shop across the road, being broken into. After they had backed a van into the shop and closed the overhead door, the team positioned themselves and waited. You can imagine the would be thieves surprise when after loading the van with stolen tool boxes and any shop equipment they could move, when upon opening the overhead door, they found themselves starring at the business end of a team of swat rifles.

  3. My brother in law owns a service station, It was broken into and all of the rolling tool chests disappeared one night. The one that did not disappear had the wheels taken off and it was sitting on wood blocks. That one could not be rolled up a ramp into a waiting truck. Once all the mechanics got their new boxes they all took the wheels off.

  4. Ah OK. Low ball offer so you would go away. Did they have possession of parts when they made the offer? If not I would have sent them a few pieces and told them pay up. But I understand, sometimes its better to just walk away and not fight a battle that is not worth going that way. But it sounds like buying their insurance is not worth the time of day.

  7. There has to be a medical exemption in the law somewhere. It's not like they can't get any prints. Have you checked with BATF about your situation, they may have info you are not aware of.

  8. Go right to the source, call the BATF and explain your situation and ask what you need to do. Or call the silencer manufacturer, Their sales depend on being able to steer you in the right direction. The rest of us are just guessing and trying to apply logic to a government agency.

  10. Check the cruise cut off switches at clutch handle, front, and rear brakes. Sloppy levers are a common cause.

  11. ALL GOOD THINGS MUST COME TO AN END! (Or so they say!)I am officially back to work at my "Day Job" starting Monday, March 15th, 2021! All of my kits I offer, as well as the Shim Kit Loan are being offered again. The only exception to this would be the Block Off Plates. My wife has eased up a bit about letting me out in the shop, FOR NOW! I have been warned that if I come in from the shop "all beat up", that will be the end of that, so to speak. I can't tell you how grateful I am to be sitting here still on this planet, and chatting with this wonderful group of people! So, if anyone needs the Shim Kit, or anything else for that matter, just let me know! Also Thank you EVERYONE for the support during this trying time! Stay safe! Earl

  13. I replaced my clutch with the Barnett clutch pack, with the carbon fibre disks. https://www.barnettclutches.com/ Alternatively there are some inexpensive upgrades you can make. One is to replace the innermost clutch disc and spacer's which only has half the friction material with a full friction material disc. If you do this leave out the spacers and the snap ring. You can also add a heavier spring. @skydoc_17 also sells upgrade kits which have become very popular among members here.
