  1. Well it looks like somebody gave this thread one star so obviously not everyone is happy. Sorry, doing the best I can.

  2. You bet brother!! Quite frankly, YOU are one amazing individual that deserves a standing ovation of the 5 star type for all you have done, past/present/future, in creating such an amazing adVenture for ALL of us who call your creation home!! You are appreciated and loved for all you are and all you do @Freebird!! I am also 100% all in with @Squidley on his from the heart/soul advice too,, for those who are not pleased (and I know it happens) looking elsewhere on the net may be best thing for them but I wish them the best in finding the family type environment you and your staff seek to create and have been successful in creating here on VR. 4. It’s all good my friend. The bottom line though is I know I will never please everyone. I’ll continue to try though. Thanks for owning up to it though.

  7. I totally. understand. I want to make it clear though. This was not change just for the sake of change. The server software was outdated. The system we were using would not run on the newer software. I had gotten notice from the hosting company that the old PHP software was at "end of life" and was obsolete. That created security issues with the server and I was told I had to update or the site would be taken offline. That's the long and short of it. I completely understand their side of it and my choice was to update the site or take it down. Taking it down was not an option for me.

  8. It's fine brother, if they don't like it, they're welcome to leave. I know how much time, effort and money you put into the site, both past and present. Thank you for all you do to keep us connected.

  9. Yep. My youngest daughter and I spent a big part of the summer playing with windshield shapes, she’s studying to be an aerospace engineer so playing with aerodynamics was fun. The ones we made with a return lip were best but created a blurry line, this fixes that.

  10. I am 100% sure that either POTUS candidate will continue the aggressive approach to Covid that has been being taken under our current administration. Without a doubt, the production of ventilators and Vaccine research that America knows the world depends on will not be ceased no matter who wins in Nov IMHO. The U.S. people will remain united in its effort to conquer the evil that the Chinese Communist Party released onto the world. On the same token though, and I know this is deeply an American thing and I personally would never expect a non U.S. Citizen to understand the depth of this because, quite frankly, it seems there are many actual U.S. Citizens this means nothing to, but take a second Bum and read what one of our countries Patriots of long ago wrote, this was penned by Patrick Henry back in 1775 and I assure you, there are many many American Patriots that still cling to and believe that there really are some things much more important than life itself = "Give me Liberty or give me death". Hopefully this shines a light for you to understand that no, Covid and the fear of it are not at the top of the list of reasons many Americans are indeed voting for the right person to lead them.

  14. I had the same problem on my little jughead (S40) earlier in the year. It was the starter solenoid, and it was cheap and easy to fix. Well, easy except the part about the position and location of the second mounting bolt. THAT was done by the design engineer as a joke, surely. If I meet him, his dentist is getting a new jet ski.

  15. Michelin Commander II, bow and stern. I'm totally happy with these tires. MUCH better than the E3/880 mismatched shoe combo she had when I bought her.

  18. tazmocycle is right. I have a 1998 RSTD that needed headpipes due to rust.I bought a full set of 4 into 2 pipes from an 05 Venture that came with aftermarket Bub Mufflers. Everything fit just fine,I just had to fab a rear bracket to bolt to my saddlebag brackets. I had drilled out Road King muffs on before the Bubs and I must say the Bubs gave me the rumble I was after...I get lots of compliments on the sound.I measured the head pipes and the 05's have a slightly larger diameter which with my 32mm carb swap,it feels like a new bike!! Good luck

  19. Picture a man,, laying in bed peeping thru tired eyes and just finishing up watching the news thru his Fire Stick stream on YouTube on his bedrooms 52 inch tv when his mind starts wondering if his clubs new site is navagational thru the Fire Stick web browser thingy.. Being the curious type, he punches in Venturerider.org and WHALLLLAAAA,, he is home... Now he notices the Boss posted a new thread about the clubs site update he has been slaving over so he runs the little blue Fire Stick ball over to that thread and gives it click. He likes what he sees and desperately seeks to type in a response that reads "heyyyy you lop eared @Freebird varmint, is the club still going pass out awards and honor badges to those who have served or is that a thing of the past?" when he discovers that for some reason, his Fire Sticks keyboard does not pop up.. Being one to never wants to (insert the little pot stirring guy cause that same person, me, still aint found that little icon he loves) cause the Boss more grief than he has already got himself into by tackling such an undaunting task as this updating thing is, the varmint just aborts the entering a message process and shoots the little Fire Stick blue ball up to give the thread and its creator a 5 star standing ovation. Being stubborn, that little blue ball is not exactly over the 5th star but, due to that Fire Stick having a mind of its own,, the ball was over on the 1 star on the left instead of the 5th star on the right when I clicked it. Being tired and perhaps even a little lazy I just shook my head and went back to sleep. I am back on my laptop now and just tried to correct that rating but am not sure that it worked. Either way,, know that you are a 5 star Bossman if there ever was one!! @Squidley,,, pretty tough talk from a varmint picking on a varmint who has a direct com line with a varmint on the other side of the pond from him who is in the process of producing a large supply of finally perfected WWW that does not melt until it reaches 65 degrees especially when the varmint your pickin on is heavily invested in that particular concoction that @Flyinfool has now perfected..
