  1. Hi.I am new to the site as I picked up my first venture royale a few weeks ago.I live in Fl.and have been riding for 50+ years.I have rode a lot of bikes in my time but this is my first venture. Thanks to you all I have been able to take care of a lot of things on the bike already.I picked up a 87 venture royale 5th. Anv. gold'with all the extras on it.Oh,and it has a color matched sidecar on it too.It started out in ohio then came to fl. and now to me.Had been setting for a while so need a lot of TLC but it cleaned up good and after the basic tune up stuff it run good now.I have rode all kinds of bikes but this sidecar thing is realy different to drive.I am in my 70s now and still love to ride. Thanks again for all the good info on your site.

  2. Sounds like a big project. Check the compression of the engine before you spend too much money on it. if you have the time and the interest, go for it!

  3. It seams to have plenty of power around town.Have not been out on major highway with it yet.Have a trip planed for sunday and will let you know how it acts.It is a escort sidecar with electric tilt control from a switch on the bars.Really helps to dail it in on roads around here.I am sure it take away some but not rode one without sidecar can not compare it.I will get back with you after sunday and let you know. Thanks have a great day.

  4. I thought we spoke English here???? My technophobia is why I didn’t buy that new 18 Venture that was on here for 12k a few months ago. This “everything has to be on a computer” thing drives me nuts. I used to be able to walk out of my office, cross the hall, stick my head in the chief’s office, and say one of the fire trucks is broke down. 15 seconds flat. Now I have to access the correct forms, fill em out, email em to him, CC in other captains, Bcc in the mechanic so the chief can call me across the hall to ask if it’s broke. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

  5. No, we had a member map on the old site also. So far, I’ve found no solution for the flags.

  9. SHUT UP ABOUT IT ALREADY !! What ever has gotten into that princess of a bride of yours is something ALL of us hope our ladies catch !! I am at the bottom of my bucket list list and at the "Corvette" point Newkirk,,, Tip has always been just like your keeper of bride but this one has her cause I cant get it out of my head that I dont wanna be laying in no old folks home saying "I wish I would have had the chance to own a 67, 427 big block, TriPower 6 packed, 4 speed with factory side piped C2 Vette"" (should seen her eyes when I told her we should be both be thankful that I really did not care for the "split window" 63's and then showed her the prices those sweethearts are selling for). Even though we have looked at a few (sorting out what I REALLY "need",, model years and all that) and she admits it would be fun to sit next to me (she loved my 1970 Mach 1 fastback, 351 Cleveland 4 speed, factory side piped Mouse I had when I married her and we had a lot of fun in it till I sold it to finish a house we were building so she gets that) and putt around in such a historic icon but the investment side of it,,, x10 of what I paid for my first house,,, got her kinda .... Got me kinda too,, maybe a much cheaper 69,, or even a 2000 dollar 84,, or just a clunker that dont run just to sit in the backyard and pretend ... Yeahhh,, these ladies who fall in love with us lop eared outlaw varmints,,, they are something aint they..
