I took this video of our countries BEAUTIFUL 757 AIR FORCE ONE jet departing from our teeny tiny airport here in Muskegon Mi! I was telling Tippy that it is a known fact that our air strip is wayyyyy to small for the big boys like this MACHINE to land/depart on and that is why all of our areas big jet flights work out of Grand Rapids International.. I was therefore thinking our President would fly in in Marine One instead of Air Force One but,, guess what - THEY DID IT!! WOW was it beautiful and amazing!! I have also been knocking on doors and chatting with a lot of our areas elderly about our country and current issues.. They gave me a message to pass on to the President, which I do during this video.. If you have no interest in hearing their idea's/input, just turn off the sound and enjoy the Wings of Liberty in lift off!! Puc

I've stepped into the light, no longer under the damp murky shadow of MS (sort of). I tried out Linux Mint, supposed to be pretty intuitive for windows users. I had to make a few adjustments to get it to dual boot with win10, and mount my FLAC library to be accessible in Linux. Thankfully there is plenty of documentation online and most of it is pretty easy to read and understand, even for a less techy guy like me. I run a GTX1080 so I had to get and adjust those drivers to get my sound and vid just as I like, although it worked right out of the box. Learning code and bash commands honestly seems grueling to me, I'm learning that slowly through messing with Pi boards, and I've only just begun. I needed none of that to get it up and working, and very little of it afterwards. The cool thing is you can put Linux on a bootable thumb drive and try it out without even installing it. I would have done this years ago, I've hated MS with the burning passion of a thousand suns since win95. Linux was always behind in supporting modern games. I play games about as much as normal people watch TV, so kind of a lot. Now Steam supports Linux, to what degree I'm going to find out. I've read that Uplay works too with a couple of adjustments. I plan to keep win10 to boot to just in case. I've never done this before only because of lack of support for games, now that is not such a problem. I've only just started sorting Linux out and I'm fast falling in love with it. I shoudl not say sorted, it's easier to tweak than Windows by a fair margin it really illuminates how bloated and heavy Windows is. I'm going to highly recommend anyone that's just a bit down on MS to look into this. I've also dramatically cut all that network traffic to MS and Google, which is all blocked anyway. I like being in control again.

Hey guys, I just got into a 1984 Venture Royale with 69,000 miles. On first inspection, it looked like it was going to be a big project. The more I dig into it, the better it appears to be. First question, is this a XVZ12DL? I haven’t been able to find the differences between the model designations, and Partzilla has 5 options... This is meant to be a winter project to pass the time during the gray NJ winters. But I think I can get this together enough for a couple rides before the snow comes. Long term, it will need a bunch of seeping seals replaced, valves adjusted, and carbs gone through. For now thought I am doing brakes, tires, and a full service. I have a couple questions about two of the items on my hit list. Front air suspension has a leak. Rear holds pressure fine, and the front will pump, but won’t hold pressure for more than a couple seconds. Question is, are there any common leak points on this to start checking? And how do we repair air leaks when the factory parts are unavailable? The other question is about the choke. The lowest setting on the choke that has any affect brings the revs up to 3k. Is that normal on these bikes, or is there a choke cable to adjust, or is this a carb issue? Bike runs pretty well, but is having a tough time doing a low idle. It will eventually stall if you don’t rev it and have the choke off. I’m planning on doing the shotgun ,ethos I’ve been reading about, but was wondering if the choke issue is separate. Right now it has fresh gas and Seafoam in the tank. Thanks in advance. I’m sure I will have tons of questions as I dig deeper, and just searching this forum has already been a great resource

I just got one a few weeks ago.It is a 1987 with a sidecar.Took a lot of tlc to get it back to looking and running like it should.It had been setting for a while.But every thing works now Realy nice bike.I am in a small towm in fl.It was kind of a barn find.It is gold.

That's already shortened down so she really likes to keep what she has in her name. Her initials are just about as long D.M.W.d.B.N, and I don't want to take all afternoon typing all that out. She still loves you though.

I haven't found a replacement for the state flags. I've found one for the country flags but not the state. I'm still looking.

It appears to be one of the C-32 aircraft (military version of the 757) that Pence normally flies on.

Definitely not one of the 747's the President normally flies on, but from the shape I believe you were correct in identifying it as a 757 which is a smaller aircraft than the 747.

I use to attend the Air Shows in Muskegon,, they were AWESOME!! One really fun thing that my little boy and I had happen to us at one of the air shows in Muskegon was we bumped into a Chopper pilot who told us about Steel Gate. We were looking at a Cobra Gunship, he over heard me tell my son that I would LOVE to see one fly.. The Pilot told us about a practice area up by Waters Michigan where it all comes together at.. He took my address and sent me some video's (VHS) of Steel Gate.. Jay, my son, and I made several trips up there (up near the Mackinaw Bridge) to watch them do fly ins, drop bombs, shoot mini gun cannons from A-10s and lots of other cool stuff.. Got to go up in the Towers and watch them.. One time we were there the ground troops were there with tanks and stuff,, wonderful times!! This was all wayyyyyyy before 9/11 changed everything. A quick phone call and I could actually get the Militaries schedule for the area and drive up and watch them work out. Tip and I stopped up there on the bike (miles and miles of sandy two tracks and tank track areas to get to the air base) and they were sealed right off after 9/11. We returned up there last year in Trooper and they have it completely revamped and I dont believe they allow civilians in any longer. Maybe,,, not sure.. Anyway Deej,, that air show you speak of has some really special memories for me/us!! Do you remember the metal eating "Dinosaur" they always had at the show?? My kids loved it LOL.. Another extreme memory was the Stealth fly by!!! I could not believe how it flew sooo quietly,,, like it barely disturbed the air!! I know NOTHING about aircraft but I gotta tell ya,, that thing was crazy cool!!

I did an air show there back in the 80's with my C-141b. It aint no small jet for sure. We landed there in Muskegon and were one of the first as we were large. Then some smaller jets and my assistant crew chief and I helped tow and park a bunch of aircraft A-10 OV-10 and I think a C-130 showed up. Lots of civilian aircraft that were neat too. I think it was 86. WE hung out a bunch after hours at a place called Sandy's homestead inn. They actually met us at the air show the day we got there and was like our "host" for the afternoon.

Technically Air Force One is any Air Force aircraft that the president is on board. There is no aircraft that has the specific name of Air Force 1 When the president gets onto the helicopter on the front lawn it is a Marine Aircraft so it carries the designation Marine One. If he were on a Navy or Army aircraft it would be Navy One or Army One. This way air traffic control knows that this flight has the president on board and has top priority over almost anything else in the air. If the President were to go for a ride in an Air Force owned little 2 place Trainer Cessna, It would carry the designation of Air Force One for as long as the president was on board. The Plane that we normally consider as Air Force One that the president normally uses is one of two Boeing 747s. The plane that took off from Muskegon airport was not a 747. They may have used a smaller aircraft to better handle the smaller airport. Although the presidential 747 can take off and land at much smaller airports than a stock 747, its size and weight can also damage the runways of a smaller airport.

Our clubs website was down for a couple days as the owner of the site was doing some updating (THANK YOU DON!!). One of those regular attenders, a lop eared varmint by the name of FlyinFool (a dear friend of mine who, it is rumored, actually has a machine that produces the SNOW that covers our country and Canada when Fool decides he needs to do that), decided not to take the clubs missing chat room laying down and decided to go forward and create his own version of the clubs chat room.. After finally figuring out how to navigate Fool's new chat room and while in the process of participating in the same, I noticed an icon shaped like a video camera at the top of the chat room page. Being somewhat of a curious type I could not resist the temptation of clicking on that icon to see what would happen.. Congrats! You got a blonde. On the leaking air up front I would first check the hoses that deliver the air to the top of the forks. Mine was leaking there but I no longer use air in the front so I may have some spare hoses, I installed Progressive fork springs and they work great with no air pressure. If your fork springs have never been replaced they are likely pretty knackered out, those Progressive replacements are about $100 off ebay and do wonders for the handling if in fact yours are shot. If you have any weeping fork seals make sure to use OEM seals only. These bikes are heavy, and heavily outdated but I kid you not I push mine around through the curves here in the Black Hills, once everything is sorted out they handle better than they have any right to at their age and weight. Check/adjust steering head bearings too while your prepping for first ride. Not everyone has been pleased with the factory brakes, but there are some well documented, cost-effective solutions for brakes too. Mine is wearing R6 brake calipers front and rear with EBC pads with brakes de-linked (yea, they are linked, sorry bout that). Right off this forum you can get brake de-linking kit which includes braided lines. I thought i'd save the money, but if I had it to do over I'd use the kit. Many parts are still available, they made a whole lot of these things, plus lots of folks here, myself included, probably have totes of extra stuff. There is a sight, used to be boats.net, but I think it changed, many many OEM parts for these still available outside the dealer network so I hope someone else comes along with the link. While your riding pay attention to 2nd gear, there were a few years where that could be an issue. Mine does idle okay, albeit low idle is set to about 1100rpm. ended up pulling my carb rack, replacing diaphragms and setting float levels to the lowest end of the range, I live at 4000' and ride mostly up higher. I figure with all the ethanol in the fuel (to be avoided as much as possible with carb equipped vehicles) many times these will have to be removed and the corn squeezings manually scraped and blown out. Best not to let it sit for any real length of time with ethanol in the tank and carbs. The chokes are actually just fuel enrichening circuits, if you pop off the faux tank (one screw below the gas filler and wiggle forward until it pops out of the grommet up front). Loosen the boots and lift the air box out, you will then have access to the choke linkage and be able to see if they are all working the same. A good carb synchronization should be done, I do it at least once a season just to keep it happy. Many folks here use the Morgan Carbtune, I got one and love it. Sounds like your already doing the shotgun. When replacing carb parts, OEM Yamaha or K&L (Japanese aftermarket). The attractively priced un/misbranded online stuff is best avoided, just like fork seals. Some of the symptoms your listing may be helped by a carb sync. If your doing your own wrenching then I would get one of those Morgans carbtunes. I got mine on Ebay but even if you have to order one from the UK they are shipped and delivered pretty quickly. Welcome!!

It really is a genetic condition isn't it! I haven't started on the FL. Hopefully after I get some of Lonna's honey do's done and get the garage in order, I'll be able to do that. Surprisingly enough I can find certain flavors of Faygo down in Texas....go figure!
