Ecks 1973 AURANTHETIC CHARGER
Auranthetic Chargers were based on a bike used by Gemini which was built in Taiwan. What I have read is Auranthetic, a California based company, ordered the mini bikes without engines and modified them to their specs to be 100% electric mini bikes. Production only lasted short of 2 years and only a few thousand were produced. The conversion from the gas motor to the electric motor included 1hp series wound industrial motors and (2) 12V deep cycle batteries which gave them around 30MPH for about 50 miles. Auranthetic Corp used turn signals manufactured in Japan by Stanely. These were also used on various Honda CB motorbikes in the 70's. Aurnathetics came with amber lenses front and back (no red lenses). The early (1973) Auranthetics had a seamed tank and the later ones (1974)used a Bosch motor and a few other things were different.
