jryan Posted September 9, 2008 #1 Posted September 9, 2008 Anyone have any advice or pics showing this battery gauge mounted on an RSV? I'd like to get one but looking for the best place to mount. Thanks in advance!
BuddyRich Posted September 9, 2008 #2 Posted September 9, 2008 I mounted mine down on the triple tree. Just above the bolt. I seem to remember putting it over an emblem .
Sideoftheroad Posted September 9, 2008 #3 Posted September 9, 2008 Due to some recent issues, I have bought one but haven't mounted it yet. I was thinking the same place on top of the triple tree. W/out looking at the bike right now, I thought the emblem was below the bolt, but could be wrong. Anyway, I was thinking about putting it over the emblem too.
FreezyRider Posted September 9, 2008 #4 Posted September 9, 2008 Anyone have any advice or pics showing this battery gauge mounted on an RSV? I'd like to get one but looking for the best place to mount. Thanks in advance! Don't have any pix, but I did have one on my 99 RSV. Mounted down by the triple tree also. But, I wouldn't buy another one. I like accuracy....I like to know how many volts are crusin' through my system. Those colored lights don't really tell you much. Here's what I have now, and what I'd recommend: http://www.cyclemaxohio.com/inc/sdetail/4231 This is a nice, small and compact LED readout. Shows you exactly what voltage your system is putting out. And it even costs less than the Kury "glow lights". Check it out. Joe
