Testing a Stator

I need some really expert help. How would one bench test a stator? That is how can I test a replacement stator to ensure it is operational before installing it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah I think you could use an ohm meter to check the resistance. Usually when the stator is bad you will have an open open coil. (burnt spot on the wiring.)
