BuddyRich Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 I wrote up the Saddlebag quick release about 3 years ago. I ordered the parts from McMasters. Its onlt about 15 to make them yourself.
Tartan Terror Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 Ive had those on all season and am happy with them. Only thing I would suggest is that if you are taking them off all the time to glues the parts of the grommets together so that when you take off the bags they dont hit the floor and scatter every time you take them off.
BoomerCPO Posted September 8, 2008 Author Posted September 8, 2008 I just received this e-mail from the seller of the saddle bag fasteners..... E-mail: Wanted to let you know that we got your Quick Fastener order, and say thank you! We really do like having these on our bikes, simply for ease in cleaning and maintaining our bikes, and hope you will enjoy these as well. Remember also, that we guarantee these for as long as you own your bike!! Thanks again so much! Mark R-Mark Ventures mark@rsventure.net
Squidley Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 Boomer, Hiliss is one of our members here and I have a set of his quick releases, they work great For the price you can't hardly go wrong as it would be a few hours to make them ( I did make a set before on my '99) and buying all the parts would be over a $20 bill, at least it was in my case
Guest BluesLover Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 Got mine from him earlier this year and they are great! Make getting the bags on and off that much quicker and easier. Cheers,

Now I feel even better about ordering the parts from him. I'm somewhat of a fanatic when it comes to keeping my bike clean and shiny. The Factory set-up on the saddlebags always aggravated the heck out of me and added extra time and effort to clean and polish.

I know what you mean Boomer, I take my bags off every time I clean the bike. Way easier to inspect and clean in there
