Headlight Visor?

Is there a headlight visor that fits the Venture's headlight? Anyone with any experience with doing this? What brand, etc.

I had one from my 650 VStar Silverado on my Venture. It was the Yamaha one, but I don't remember how much it cost. I think JC Whitney makes one as well, but don't quote me on that.

Any visor for a 7" headlight will work. You have to split the fairing and take the chrome ring off by bending the tabs. The ring will be a little difficult to get back on over the visor, but it works. Just make sure you properly bend the tabs completely back down or you will find yourself splitting the fairing again in a week or two to fix it!

The Yamaha "Star" brand visors are very good quality and you can get them at South Seattle worth the money. I've had no issues with mine so far.

Well I can tell you for sure that the one from an '02 VStar 650 will fit. I'm guessing all of the VStars are probably identical when it comes to the headlight, so you could probably order one from the VStar catalog.

BTW, I have the headlight visor & passing lamp visors. Both are good quality and add, in my opinion, a nice finishing touch to the front end.

I bought my visors for all lights from JC Whitney (head light, passing lights, signals, brake/tail light). Had them on for over 50,000 miles with no signs of rust or tarnish. Good quality and MUCH cheaper than the Yamahaha stuff.

Heh, I have to agree though, unless you're a brand junkie, the ones from JC Whitney look just fine.

Thx Goose this is good to know... I got the Star visors and on the turn sig. a piece of the chrome flaked off... Luckily it's stainless so it's not rusting...
