If you were working tomorrow, this would be a really great distraction!

I'm leaving tomorrow at 0400 CST, going round the lake. AKA, going around Lake Michigan, counter clockwise. We're taking about 3 to 4 days, give or take.

So, I purchased this GPS transmitter that will transmit my location during my journey every 10 minutes on the internet, which means you can "track" my travels as I go along. Again, not something to do on a sunny weekend day!

I will also attempt to post to this forum via Blackberry, as I did when I purchased the bike and brought it home 1115 miles.

Murphy is of course, kicking my arse at the moment and, whaddya know the web tracking website is DOWN. All friggin day. The link below "should" be working by tomorrow morning, so they tell me.

So again, this is kindof experimental but, it has worked previously. Just, don't try now, as the web site is down.

C ya!

I thought that MyPalomino might have an opportunity to see one of its "siblings" until I saw your time of departure. I should be starting for Indianapolis at about the time you are passing through Hammond, Ind., so just give us a toot. I will look in on you when the tracking website is up and running again.

Ride safe to ride again.

Ok, it's 3:41, my eyes are almost wide open and soon the throttle will be too!

Track me here and I'll try to post too.

Cheers all!

FYI, going round the lake (lake Michigan) counter-clockwise.

Ok, I'm back home safe and sound.

Which, if you were looking at the website, u knew that already!

GPS Tracker worked pretty well it looks like, very neat.

Just noticed that if you leave the map up, it auto-refreshes with every heartbeat/transmit, cool.

The trip was great, more details and photos to come. We NEVER had to don the rain suits, yeah! Staying in Door county last night kept us from riding through hours of IL rain, whew.

Bikes performed great.

Oh, there were 5 of us: 1 Harley Electra Glide, two Wings of different eras, a Valkrie Interstate and my bike. Oh, one of the riders actually was riding with a broken ankle, pins put in two weeks ago.

Guess which bike he was on?

Anyways, hope some of you enjoyed the GPS tracking and felt like you were there with us.

Once get a bit more settled, I'll post some details and photos.

Cheers!

Sorry, been busy and haven't been on here in a few days.

I put the spot in my cup/cup-holder. I believe it needs a full view of the sky, to triangulate, blah, blah.

Dang, still haven't posted about my trip.
