garmin 2610 map upgrade

Looking to buy 2009 map upgrade for my street pilot 2610.

 

Has anyone upgraded their Garmin ? Is there a place to buy the maps at discount pricing?

I have one that came with my zumo but I don't need it. Already had one I had purchased for my old GPS. I can sell it to you fif it will work for you Garmin. Let me know

last I knew garmin map upgrades were locked to the serial number of the gps. you could not take the map a buddy bought, copy it and put it in yours because the serial numbers did not match.

You are right. The copy I have has not yet been registered though. It is still sealed. Not sure how this works though....if they already paired it with my GPS. I wouldn't think so since it was never registered.
