Dexx Posted September 1, 2008 #1 Posted September 1, 2008 Saw this one on july 19th at our local annual charity ride called Rock and Roar: http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u257/Dexx-gs/motorcycle%20stuff/DSCF1393.jpg And saw two Mk 2's in blue the weekend of the Poag's Hole hillclimb, (didn't get pics of those i was riding the other way) one was on it's way into the hillclimb and the other I saw leaving the Wegman's parking lot in Geneseo as i passed through town.
Squidley Posted September 1, 2008 #2 Posted September 1, 2008 That one has some rare Venture bling on it, good looking scoot, the paint looks real deep
Dexx Posted September 1, 2008 Author #3 Posted September 1, 2008 It was pretty nice. I was hoping to catch the guy, but didn't get to finish the ride that day.
Condor Posted September 1, 2008 #4 Posted September 1, 2008 That one has some rare Venture bling on it, good looking scoot, the paint looks real deep I wonder if the turn signal grids are VL, Barrons, or homemade??. They look very cool..... I've never seen anything like them before....

I have seen them before, they were aftermarket, I believe VL. There is also a tail light screen just like it that goes on the rear light.

Condor Posted September 1, 2008 #7 Posted September 1, 2008 I have seen them before, they were aftermarket, I believe VL. There is also a tail light screen just like it that goes on the rear light. I've seen the thicker Barrons grids like those on the rear running lights of the add on bumpers and light bars, but these things look a lot thinner. They do make a chrome bead striping material that's available thru some auto supply stores. SilverT used the stuff on his '87...looks really nice..., and I think Buddy Rich used some on the fins?? of his 2ndGen. If it is VL it's got to be rarer than chicken lips, and for something that nice I wonder why there's not more of them showing up on 1stGens??? Oh well... gonna have to go play around a bit.... I do like the look...
