Radio cutoff problem.

Hey guys,

 

Over the weekend, my '03 Midnight started showing a weird problem. It's started cutting off under throttle!

 

I have my iPod touch connected to it and at first, thought it was the cable, but today, the radio did the same thing.

 

It lasts long enough to be annoying - after about 20 miles of country roads - but then it clears up, so no chance to examine anything and recreate the problem!

 

Of course, it's six months out of warranty!

 

 

Any ideas?

When you are under throttle you are pushing back into your seat . The wires are routed and cross under the seat they get crimped -- the radio cuts out. I moved the wires a bit and the problem went away. Hope this helps
