A big prayer for Big Bob.

Posted

Terrible that it happened, evidently he felt something was amiss with the bike and or trailer. It's going to be a long recovery, but thank God he is alive. Can't say enough about PPE. You hope to never have to test it, but if the time comes it can save lives.

Prayers Sent!!

I don't know what to say that hasn't already been said. It's hard hearing of a biker going down, especially when it is one of our family members here. 62 MPH on pavement is a hard crash and though it sounds like the injuries are plenty bad, I'm so thankful that the news is not even worse. We will keep in in our prayers.

Bob,

I remember that pretty white bike and trailer.

Really not what I wanted to hear, but I guess all that I can say is heal up and take care of yourself.

Rick, thanks for letting us know.

Our prayers are sent from IOWA!

Takes a strong man to survive this, and a stronger one to recover. I don't know you personally, but from what I have read so far you have a lot of GOOD people that care for you and your recovery!

I look forward to one day meeting you on a road in the future, and hopefully riding a ways with you!

Rick,

From what you said at the PIP, it sounds like Bob's in good hands now and should make a slow, but full recovery - so my hope is that he does it quicker than expected.

I know how hard it is mentally & emotionally when you have to deal with something like this - So my prayer is that you and Marilynn and the rest of the Canadian crew (including Tequila Pete) ride focused & alert and get home safe & sound.

Wishing the best for you Bob, and pray that you may heal well and completely.

Not a good thing to read about in the Venture News, but these things do happen and we all better make sure that that we do whatever we can to make it happens less often. Riding is a real joy, an awesome pastime and not something I'd give up easily, as well as the most of us I'm sure. So keep learning, keep practicing and keep the rubber down.
