last month my 84 Venture sat for about 2 weeks. Apparently she was lonely and to show me she started dripping oil @ the seal of the right shock. Just a small leak so I kept riding.

Well she didn't like having to sit again for another 2 weeks, so this time she dumps a puddle of oil about 6" inches wide from the front wheel to the rear.

How is it that it can leak "up" while just sitting in the garage?:confused24:

Thanks in advance

You have air pressure in it and it will push the oil in any direction it can where there is a crack. It's not uncommon to leak while sitting, the G2's also have rear shock problems. I have a rear shock for the 1200's if your interested, give me a shout if you want to change yours out.

Brad, I think he's talking about the Right Front fork leaking. I don't think they have a right rear.... :whistling:
