razz423 Posted August 29, 2008 #1 Posted August 29, 2008 last month my 84 Venture sat for about 2 weeks. Apparently she was lonely and to show me she started dripping oil @ the seal of the right shock. Just a small leak so I kept riding. Well she didn't like having to sit again for another 2 weeks, so this time she dumps a puddle of oil about 6" inches wide from the front wheel to the rear. How is it that it can leak "up" while just sitting in the garage? Thanks in advance
Squidley Posted August 29, 2008 #2 Posted August 29, 2008 You have air pressure in it and it will push the oil in any direction it can where there is a crack. It's not uncommon to leak while sitting, the G2's also have rear shock problems. I have a rear shock for the 1200's if your interested, give me a shout if you want to change yours out.

Brad, I think he's talking about the Right Front fork leaking. I don't think they have a right rear....
