Well went and picked up big blue today after putting the new Avon's on it and what do you know it rides like a new bike. I went with the MT90B16 (narrow front tire) I am not sure about that yet .I will have to ride for a while and get used to it. It seems a little tippy right now. but it does handle better around town I will know more after sat. I am take a long ride on the interstate. Who would have thought $350 for a hole new bike.

Glad to hear you liked the difference, you will get use to that front tire pretty quick. They do handle great dont they:whistling: Craig

Don't worry Mike, you'll get used to the front. I have noticed NO difference in wind and believe me we have WIND hear in the flat land. You will find that a little input goes further than before. Once you relax and not provide over input it will handle fabulously. I've ran one for over 35K miles and will never go back.

I got a new bike too!!!!!

I had Avons mounted and balanced however I purchased stock size tires for better all around handling.

I lubed the splines on the drive shaft and the hub splines while I had the wheels off.

WOOO HOOOOO she rides like a brand new bike again!!!!!!!!!

I also noted that the rear brake pads were wearing unevenly, so I reversed them.

ALL the tips I got from this forum!!!!!!

NICE SITE and LOTS of people freely willing to help!!!!!!!

I had the front dropped 1/2 inch when I went to the narrow. It was a bit light and touchy for me. I raised it back to stock and along with getting used to it there was much improvement. It really likes to turn now and Its even better in a strong wind then the stock were.
