Funny Song. Kinda had a "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" feel to it. :)

Yea, us Yankees say barbecue for grilling outside. We had a mis-communication with one of the neighbors once when I told them we would have a back yard barbecue. I was just talking about throwing some steaks on the grill. :whistling:

Not all of us northerners are confused by BBQ. I have a BBQ pit and a gas grill. I really love doing BBQ pulled pork and pork ribs.

Personally I'm a dry rub BBQ'r but I use a vinegar based mop sauce that has brown sugar and crushed red chili peppers. Hmm, that adds some tang.

Ain't thing east of the Mississippi ain't BBQ. :stirthepot:

The Mississippi river is right outside my window at work and just down the hill from home. Which side do I have to be on to BBQ? :confused24::think:

richard, we are coming to dc and wv 6th-14th of sept, maybe we can work that in. i was raised in sc on a share-crop farm and in the falL we killed some hogs and always cooked a hog in the ground for about 10-12 hrs. best bar-b-q there is!!

each area of the country has it's onW take on how things are cooked!! thATS WHAT MAKES THIS GROUP SO GREAT!!! we are willing to travel for days sometimes to checkout how some food tastes to us and put in our opinion of what it needs or not needs to make it right. JUST THINK IF ALL FOOD TASTES LIKE CHICKEN AND WHAT YOU DRANK TASTES LIKE HORSE PI##( I'VE NEVER HAVE TRIED IT, MYSELF!!) THERE WOULDN'T BE A RIDING CLUB!!!
