Has anyone here tried out the Maxxis.com touring tires for the RSV. They look to have a good tread design and strong sidewall and weight capacity.

Just looking for info looking to get new tread.

Ive ran Maxis tires on my ole XJ1100, they ran good, but it is a light bike.

I know a fella who ran the Maxis on his RoadKing and it wore out rather quickly.

Both of these were 130/90-16 tires though.

A local friend of mine uses them on an RSTD. He likes the ride and handling well enough. But he only gets about 7000 miles out of them. He put a new set on last spring, then took off on a trip through the west side of the country and back. Now he needs a new set already. Quite a good racket that motorcycle tire manufacturers have going for themselves here.
