pegscraper Posted August 22, 2008 #5 Posted August 22, 2008 (edited) There are "black boxes" that will plug into the bike and do this function. I've seen them before, but right now can't find a link to one. I know Kuryakyn makes one. Maybe check some of the links at the bottom of this page too. Indeed, the last link at the bottom of this page has several links to these things. Edited August 22, 2008 by pegscraper

KiteSquid Posted August 22, 2008 #8 Posted August 22, 2008 Get the LEDs that are yellow for turn and red for stop....... BUT I hope the yellow overrides the red!!!!!
ventureblue Posted August 25, 2008 Author #9 Posted August 25, 2008 I think thats what i'm going for. I want the yellow turns but i want themto go RED when braking. I am also thinking about adding a set from under the trunk that wil bring more visability to the rear when braking. I am open for any ideas.
1BigDog Posted August 25, 2008 #10 Posted August 25, 2008 I got the same set-up as Riderduke. I believe its what you are looking for.I also added clear lenses over the colored ones and a LED tail light board with a clear lens. If you decide to go that way too, remember you need to add a lighted plate frame also. http://nopork.com/images2004/dot.gif http://nopork.com/images2004/filler1.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/filler2.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/tab_store_on.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/tab_technical_off.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/tab_community_off.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/tab_classifieds_off.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/dot.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/dot.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/dot.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/dot.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/dot.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/dot.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/dot.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/dot.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/filler3.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/dot.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/titl_products.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/dot.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/dot.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/dot.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/graytop.gif Categories New Items Accessories Apparel Chrome Controls Electrical Filters Frame Grips Handlebars Helmets Luggage Performance Seats STARBBQ2008 Wheels Windshields Towing Catalogs Click the Catalog http://nopork.com/images/2007_street.jpg Call or Email 1-888-4NOPORK Shop by Bike Get Financing Yamaha Roadstar Yamaha Venture Yamaha V-Star Honda Shadow Honda Goldwing Honda VTX Suzuki Intruder Kawasaki Vulcan Kawi Mean Streak Sportbikes other bikes...Yamaha WarriorYamaha ViragoYamaha VentureYamaha V-MaxYamaha StratOlinerYamaha Royal StarYamaha RoadlinerSuzuki VolusiaSuzuki MarauderSuzuki BoulevardKawasaki NomadKawasaki DrifterKawasaki ConcoursHonda ValkyrieHonda SpiritHonda RebelHonda MagnaHonda Goldwing Shop by Brand Barons Dynatek Galfer Highway Hawk Jardine Lindby SoftBrake Supreme Legends http://nopork.com/images2004/dot.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/dot.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/dot.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/dot.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/dot.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/dot.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/dot.gifhttp://nopork.com/images2004/filler4.gif Continue Shopping | View Cart | My Orders | Terms & Policies http://nopork.com/imagesprod/PN01315.jpg click for bigger picture Turn Signal Conversion Kit for Yamaha Warrior, Yamaha Virago, Yamaha Venture, Yamaha V-Star, Yamaha V-Max, Suzuki Volusia, Suzuki Marauder, Suzuki Intruder, Suzuki GSF600S Bandit 600, Suzuki GSF1200 Bandit 1200, Honda Valkyrie, Honda Spirit, Honda Shadow, Honda Rebel, Honda Magna Fitment: Yamaha All Stars, Suzuki cruiser up to 2003, all Honda excluding, vtx (n), cruisers Think of this - your rear turn signal housings are illuminated only when the turn signal is flashing. These are dead lights the rest of the time. Our signal kits simply, easily and legally: - make those dead housings additional red running & brake lights the rest of the time. -TRIPLE the size of your rear running and brake lights without adding any additional housings. - do not alter the operation or components of the stock turn signals. - shut off the red light in the signal housings when the amber signal comes on. Other kits make your signal lights into running lights and signals, but in amber: - ILLEGAL on any motor vehicle and much more expensive than our kit plus. - NO brake lights! No dying or replacement of the lens is required either with our kit. Federal regulations require a motorcycle to have amber turn signals and this kit keeps you in compliance and safer. ventureblue Posted August 25, 2008 Author #14 Posted August 25, 2008 Cool, let me know. i'm sure i can make it over. and maybe we can make a lunch.
1BigDog Posted August 25, 2008 #15 Posted August 25, 2008 [ Why the lighted plate frame? I didnt realize that you have an 07 when I posted. You already have a LED tail light which will illuminate the plate. Mine is a 99 and when I added a LED board it didnt light up the plate, hence the addition of a lighted plate frame.
dynodon Posted August 25, 2008 #16 Posted August 25, 2008 I got the same LED setup as RiderDuke for my wife's Honda Shadow tour. We really like the extra light, and the fact that it doesn't change the look of the bike. The lights are not very bright in the sun if the sun is on them, but in other conditions in the daylight you can see the running lights a little, but the brake lights are nice. At night the running lights are very good, and the brake lights are also very good. They don't appear to harm the light from the stock turnsignal bulbs any at all. A good choice if you want to keep the factory look.
Riderduke Posted August 25, 2008 #17 Posted August 25, 2008 It addition to my electrical connection kit Under my trunk I have this Trunklight. I have it as a brake light only. I wanted it that way for Max visibility. It was only 17 bucks when I bought it. So for the entire "light-up my back end" I only have about $68.00.
