brscooter Posted August 19, 2008 #1 Posted August 19, 2008 My Mother who is 80 y/o passed away about 10:40 PM last night, after a long bout with pancreatic cancer. Even though she is gone and in peace now I feel that she won the battle as she went on her own terms with little pain and can now be with her Savior and her family that went before her. Please say a little prayer for Leatrice Johnson when you say yours today. Thanks Lyle

My Mother, at 84 and well into kidney failure, is also doing it her way with her chin up. I've come to see this as one of the most important things we can give out loved ones.

Sleeperhawks Mechanic Posted August 19, 2008 #19 Posted August 19, 2008 Lyle, the loss of a mother is indeed tremendous but take comfort in that she is with our Heavenly Father and that one day, you will be reunited. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. Bobbie and George Wings Of The Angels A gentle wind blew cross the land Reaching out to take a hand For on the winds the angels came Calling out a mother's name. Left behind, the children's tears Loving memories of the years Of joy and love, a life well spent And now to God a mother's sent. On angel's wings, a heavenly flight The journey home, towards the light To those who weep, a life is gone But in God's love, 'tis but the dawn. By Tim Chambers
