By the way, who's got the pic with all the bikes NEATLY lined up in front of the restaurant window? Dave - you mean this one with the 1st gen not following suit??? Think Swifty is a long-gone name for you, from now on you ought to be called "The K-W Rebel" Cheers,
Guest Swifty Posted October 9, 2008 #87 Posted October 9, 2008 Dave - you mean this one with the 1st gen not following suit??? Think Swifty is a long-gone name for you, from now on you ought to be called "The K-W Rebel" Cheers, THAT is a sweet pic! Except for some odd ball 1st gen drivers who paint their bikes odd colours (black and red), we 1st gen riders generally choose our own path even while running with the pack. (arrhooo, arrhooo) Thanks Lou.
Guest BluesLover Posted October 9, 2008 #88 Posted October 9, 2008 And here is a link to the total set of pictures that were taken from our camera over the 2 days on the road. Now, remember that Vicki's nickname is "Shutterbug" which means that there are a lot of pictures to view, so ... grab a coffee, put up your feet, and watch... http://s22.photobucket.com/albums/b320/BluesLover55/2008%20trips/VR%20Fall%20Colours%20Ride/Sat%20Oct%204/ http://s22.photobucket.com/albums/b320/BluesLover55/2008%20trips/VR%20Fall%20Colours%20Ride/Sun%20Oct%205/ Cheers,

Marcarl Posted October 10, 2008 #90 Posted October 10, 2008 That's way cool...you do that? Now you just have to get rid of the wind noise, and throw in some dirty words for Carl not showing up while we're riding down that gravel road. Hey we did lots of gravel roads there this summer,,,,, even did a loggin' road that almost done the scoot in,,,, but hey it's not a new machine,,, it has seen lots in it's lifetime and was able to handle it very effectively,,,now the younger gens might have had more difficulties. Sometime, if you are ever back that way you might try the Old Hasting Road, runs off of #62 just south of Bancroft back to #62 just north of Bannockburn. Probably about a 3 hour ride,,, slow going,,,,all bush, hills, and twistes, mostly hardpack,,, 15 to 30 kpm, but quite enjoyable indeed.
dogman Posted October 15, 2008 #91 Posted October 15, 2008 Thank you Vicki for taking such great pictures of our weekend ride. I guess Lou needs honourable mention for doing such a fine job at keeping the bike to a consistant and stable line to get such clear pictures. Bernie and I thoroughly enjoyed the weekend and had a wonderful time meeting all of you. We look forward to another ride together. Dave
