Riderduke Posted August 17, 2008 #26 Posted August 17, 2008 Here is the correction to my Monkey Butt Problem. http://www.beadrider.com/ I usually put in 5-8 hundred miles a day when i ride. I love these. I rode once with them on the seat at 50* and OH did my butt freeze. I knew then that they were the solution for me. Now I don't have that soft (hold in the heat) pillow top seat. i have a Corbin saddle and love the combo. I just got a sheepsskin and am goint to try it to see what all the hoopla is all about. Can you use Sheepskins in the rain? or do you have to stop and put them up? how quickly do these things dry-out?
davecb Posted August 17, 2008 #27 Posted August 17, 2008 I have the Utopia backrest. I don't know about the Diamond R, but the Utopia is adjustable, and it goes way back if you want it to.
venturejockey Posted August 18, 2008 #28 Posted August 18, 2008 Seems to me there are two or three problems: 1. The seat doesn't fit your butt. Solution: Modify your seat or get a different seat. 2. Back pain. Solution: Utopia or Diamond R back rests. The Utopia is adjustable up and down and forward and back. I would assume the Diamond R is as well. The Diamond R guy is a Venture rider. So I would support him. 3. Heat issues. Solution: Powder, underwear, pants, sheepskin, beads....you figure it out.
