Custom Paint

I got an email the other day and then spoke on the telephone to a company that does custom paint jobs. He was interested in purchasing a banner on our site. I talked to him for about 30 minutes on the phone and he seems to be very customer oriented. His work is NOT cheap. It is top notch and professional. I do think though that, based on quotes that I've received in the past, his prices are fair for the type of work that he does.

I declined the offer to sell him a banner simply because I haven't seen a LOT of interest here for high end custom paint jobs and I didn't feel that it was a perfect match for our members and I am committed to not adding banners just for the sake of making money.

I do think though that this is a reputable company and worth checking out if you really want a nice custom paint job. I spent some time looking through the pictures on his site and really like the work that they do. They have been featured in many custom motorcycle publications, also television on the Biker Build-off and many other places.

Here is the link for anybody who is interested.

I can attest to their work. His daughter and my niece are best friends who go to school together. My brother hooked me up with a meet n greet/tour. I went and toured their facility and saw all of the work in progress and completed jobs. High quality stuff for sure. I have the RSV, two HD's and a Triumph. I just brought the RSV back to VA. I've kept my RSV stock, but the HD's are pretty amped up and one of them is still stock paint. In the Fall, I intend to ride one of the HD's out west to leave there for a year or so for West Coast/Mountain trips. While it's out there, I hope to have them do the paint. You can see their work in most moto mags.

I think that custom paint jobs are nice but on my bike it would be a waste of money. I have all sorts of rock chips now. Just can't see putting 2 or 3 grand into paint only to chip and scratch it on a daily rider. Now if I had a show bike that would be different.

I have always been in the barn that thinks custom paint jobs that cost $$$$.$$ is for those that buy bikes that cost $$$$$.$$. NOT for me, just what I think, NOT trying to make anyone mad after all it's your $$$.
