This is the first RSV I have owned. I have owned 7 bikes since 2000, guess I couldn't find one I liked. I had a voyager, gold wing, harley ,victory, valkyrie, and vulcan. I really like the RSV. A guy from another thread told me I would be sorry, I hope not. I added a set of Road House exhaust and rejetted the carbs. Will the bike run rich in the mountains. The valk I had did. Any advise you guys are willing to share would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi Dan, And Welcome to VentureRider Forum.

Probably to have best bike you have to combine all bikes listed above.:rotf::rotf:. Venture is most comfortable bike on market today with stock seat. And thats is what make this bike best. Buletproof powertrain and lot of pony's for long haul. Guys from this site will recomand you couple thinks to improve low speed handling and that is Avon Venom Tires, and DimondR Leveling links. XL Clearview Windshield with a vent will improve wind protection specialy to passanger.

Changing the exaust does not affect the bike and no rejetting is needed. The engine is one of the best proven engine around.I have had mine since march and love it.It has it all, sports powerplant, classic look, with all of the comfort of a big tour bike,I actually find it more comfortable than the gold wing as I have long legs and the floorboards are in a better position. You wont be sorry

Dan,

Tell me what yo uthink of the roadhouse slipoins. I had the Roadhouse Classic 2-1 on my last bike and loved it....deep meaty rumble...not loud at idle.......nice bark when you open the throttle. I have been considering this exhaust for my 06 RSTD. Would love to get input from you since I think you are the only one on the planet with the Roadhouse slipons.

Message me. Thanks in advance.

I like the sound a lot. Might be a little loud for some, but I just came off of a Victory Kingpin with D & D exhaust. The finish appears to be excellent. I think the baffels can be removed, if you want louder. I have only had them for a week and am well pleased so far.
