well after all the various sideroads and extended tours, we had to say our goodbyes for now to Bob and Becky last night after dinner. some of the Mother tours were quite entertaining.

it was nice to meet a Venturerider member on our way home. we met Ryder at the start of the Dragon and hope that he joins us in the many rides and events that we do.

OK, this was one of the best 2 week vacations ever!! The first day we did the twistys on US Route 219 thru Pa with trailer in tow. With the exception of a slight power loss going uphill I had to keep looking behind to make sure it was still behind me. We stayed overnight near Johnstown Pa. Day 2 took us thru Pa, Md, W Va and Va heading for the Shenandoah Trail. Had an almost dead battery that day due to the headlight switch being halfway between low and high. Much later, and several times more in that position, found out it was due to hanging my helmet on the handlebars. More twisty turney roads! Day 3 had us thru Shenandoah onto the Blue Ridge Parkway. We stopped at Luray Cavern for a while in between. At the end of the day we took this ultra twisty road off of the Blue Ridge Parkway that was an absolute challenge! Never got higher than 3rd gear! Finally ended up in a hotel near Lynchburg Va where we drank some Blueberry beer that got us $hitfaced on our a$$es! Ordered pizza and ate it on the curb in front of the lobby. Pizza was delivered to us as we waited! Day 4 hard drive to get to the M&E but we made it after even more twisty roads!

I have company coming right now, so later I will continue with the adventures of Zorro (Mother's scoot) and Goldie (mine) with descriptions of "Scotty Tours"...
