Folks, Buddy Rich is working on cleaning up our Photobucket account because it has really gotten hard to find things. He is trying to organize it by years and then by events and then by contributor.

We have also created an "Upload Here" folder. That is the folder that you will use to upload all your pictures. You can create your albums in that folder just as you do now but it will make it easier for us to them move then to the appropriate year and event to keep things better organized as we move forward.

Just wanted to give you a heads up so that you would know what is going on if you go there. If you would also use the upload folder for your new albums that would be great. I'm looking at a way to disable uploading to the root and etc. without making it too difficult for everybody.

:rotf::rotf: YOU have a lot of photos. But no. I work on systems for a living and we see this all the time. The ROOT or the top folder, soon becomes so cluttered that its had to find anything. We also found that the way it was setup someone could rename a folder while some else was uploading into it. This could cause a lot of confusion. Right now we want anymore uploaded albums to go into the "000 Upload in Here". Then we (the mods) will move them into the organized folders. That way members won't be stepping on each others toes accidently. If changes are need to the albums just PM me and we will make the changes.

Don, I just figured out how to upload on the darn thing yesterday.

I started the groups with 99 as in 99silver and spent most of the evening doing so

and I don't see them today. I already dumped the "small" folders I created to upload them. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong spot ?

Also folks, please remember, the primary purpose of the Photobucket account is for pictures of our rallies and meets and eats. It is not really intended for personal pictures, our bikes, etc. That is really what the vBPicGallery is for.
