SledgeHammer Posted August 19, 2008 #28 Posted August 19, 2008 (edited) Ok, I have given this a lot of consideration. After studying the picture with the tattoo posted by Beer30, I have come to a conclusion. My conclusion is, that a tattoo would look better on Sleeperhawk's Mechanic than on me. How can anyone dispute that? Bobbie, I give you my tattoo. Gene, does the same offer go for Bobbie? Bobbie,I am ready to make my donation to St. Judes. Just decide which tattoo you want and where you want it at. Edited August 19, 2008 by SledgeHammer

Just decide which tattoo you want and where you want it at. Tim, I am speechless. I am deeply humbled by your generous offer of the transfer of the gift. Never in my life have I even contemplated a tattoo! (Thanks Riderduke!) I have to ponder this very seriously before making my final decision. Also I would need to know that indeed St. Judes would benefit TREMENDOUSLY from this tattoo on me! But should I allow to be tattoed, I would indeed select the tattoo and location of it. And speaking of my decision for the location, well, we shall see! Soooo, folks, it is in your hands now!
Sleeperhawks Mechanic Posted August 19, 2008 Author #31 Posted August 19, 2008 Thats the spirit Tim Bobbie....is it you and me to carry the burden Brad, would we get the same tattoo if I agreed to this???
Squidley Posted August 19, 2008 #32 Posted August 19, 2008 Brad' date=' would we get the same tattoo if I agreed to this???[/color'] Bobbie, It all depends upon what the tat is and how much money we raise.....but you have my attention
BEER30 Posted August 19, 2008 #33 Posted August 19, 2008 Bobbie and Squid , I have the tattoo's covered if you allow my son to do them , so there will be no out of cost coming from the donations . Just your time and gas to get to my son's shop . This is just my opinion , it would be up to the bearer to decide on what tattoo and location of such tattoo . After all , it is something you will have to wear for the rest of your life . BUTT , there will be pictures !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! as all would like to see a portion of what they are contributing towards and evenly more importantly so to St. Judes . Now for Squid , being he so courageously shaved his head last year , shave it again and then tattoo an EIGHTBALL on top ! Bobbie , I'll have to whisper my idea only in your ears ! BEER30

MamaMo Posted August 19, 2008 #35 Posted August 19, 2008 I have a tattoo design in mind already!!! The location is still up in the air. Sleeperhawk said to tell you that you will have to whisper your idea in his ear!!!! Does this mean that you are going to do it Bobbie? Will this be your first tattoo? I have been thinking about two more.
Squidley Posted August 19, 2008 #36 Posted August 19, 2008 I have a tattoo design in mind already!!! The location is still up in the air. Sleeperhawk said to tell you that you will have to whisper your idea in his ear!!!! Well why dont you whisper in my ear what your design is so I can think about if were going to get the same one. I also have an idea as I wanted one for a while now....regardless it's for a great cause and I'm in 100%
Sleeperhawks Mechanic Posted August 19, 2008 Author #37 Posted August 19, 2008 Does this mean that you are going to do it Bobbie? Will this be your first tattoo? I have been thinking about two more. If it means raising a CONSIDERABLE amount of money for St. Judes, and I do mean CONSIDERABLE, then how could I not do it? And yes, this would be my first AND ONLY tattoo! My children will have a blast on this because they know how I am about tattoos. I can only hope they won't disown me!
Sleeperhawks Mechanic Posted August 19, 2008 Author #38 Posted August 19, 2008 Well why dont you whisper in my ear what your design is so I can think about if were going to get the same one. I also have an idea as I wanted one for a while now....regardless it's for a great cause and I'm in 100% "Whisper, whisper" So now you tell me what you have in mind!!! Are we to have the same design then?
MamaMo Posted August 19, 2008 #39 Posted August 19, 2008 Don't worry about the design. Just so it has meaning for you. Remember it is yours and will be with you the rest of your life. Love you guys. Don't worry what your kids say Bobbie. Look at it this way we are old enough to change our minds. Plus tell them it is for a good cause. Get them to donate too.
BEER30 Posted August 19, 2008 #40 Posted August 19, 2008 Yeah Bobbie , don't worry about what others think of it . If ya did , what would your grandkids think of an elderly sexy Biker MaMa tootling down the pavement on a scoot ? It's what it means to you , not others ! Besides , it might turn SleeperHawk on !!!!!!!!! Never enough excitement in the dungeon , BEER30

Squidley Posted August 20, 2008 #42 Posted August 20, 2008 Bobbie and I are talking, but we probably wont be getting the same tattoo We'll keep you in suspense for a bit longer, nothing like a good secret to get the blood pumping
bugfish69 Posted August 20, 2008 #43 Posted August 20, 2008 What are friends for. besides I think that a tat on you would raise more money. Remember LOCATION is the key to success! No offense to Tim, but properly laced your tattoo could raise much more for St. Judes!
Squidley Posted August 20, 2008 #44 Posted August 20, 2008 OK folks here's the deal.... Bobbie has agreed to share the burden with me on the tattoo idea, but there is a catch. We are not going to tell you what kind of tattoo we are getting (they are both different) or where it will be placed. We have decided to set a lofty goal and raise $3000 for St. Judes that will be donated in Meandogs name. When we reach that goal, we then will tell you what tattoo's we will be getting, and possibly where they will be on our anatomy. Is it a lot of money Yes and No, but this is for St. Judes Childrens Hospital...and they are worth it. So give what you can and we'll get inked, I'll be starting another post with all the gory details here today a bit later. I want to say 1 thing, this is Venturerider.org, there isn't anything that we cant do once we put our mind to it
mini-muffin Posted August 20, 2008 #45 Posted August 20, 2008 Well that's good. If Bobbie hadn't done it I was thinking about volunteering. Now I don't have to. Good luck guys on raising money. Margaret
