BLUERIDGEBORN Posted August 9, 2008 #1 Posted August 9, 2008 I have a neighbor I would very much like to annoy so what would be the cheapest set of slip on pipes for a 07 RSV? Thanks Phil
Mikealiasmike Posted August 10, 2008 #2 Posted August 10, 2008 Forget the pipes, keep my kids for a week, neighbor will be asking for mercy in 2-3 days muahahaha.
Mariner Fan Posted August 10, 2008 #4 Posted August 10, 2008 Heck, just take a drill to the pipes. That's pretty cheap.
Guest Saddletramp Posted August 10, 2008 #5 Posted August 10, 2008 LOUD PIPES ENDANGER OUR RIGHTS!! It won't be only your neighbor who will hear them, it may also be the the person who works nights and is trying to sleep during the daylight hours also!!!! I'd find another way to get at this person if it means that much to you.
BradT Posted August 10, 2008 #6 Posted August 10, 2008 Only a couple of bolts, to remove the side bags then only two bolts to slip the pipes off (about 15 minutes) Then if you start it up in your garage and reff it a little it will sure shake his windows. But it will annoy almost everybody else within a close distance. I can add a couple kids 16 and 13 girls, which would definitly get the neighbors. Brad

It won't be only your neighbor who will hear them, it may also be the the person who works nights and is trying to sleep during the daylight hours also!!!! I'd find another way to get at this person if it means that much to you. I always had politically correct bikes - and used to dodge snowbirds in Mesa Arizona on a daily basis. Then I bought a VMax with a V&H pipe and suddenly all the cars were parting like the Red Sea! Everything I have owned since then makes enough noise that I can be heard. My 2006 RSTD has BUB slip-ons that aren't real annoying but make one's presence felt....and even my neighbor who works nights and sleeps days says he likes them and they don't bother him
BLUERIDGEBORN Posted August 20, 2008 Author #12 Posted August 20, 2008 They are just what I was looking for in LOUD even with the baffles in. I'm thinking about removing them just to see how much louder they get...not. All I had to do was fab up some brackets and the install took about an hour and a half. These suckers are nice looking and loud as you would want. yes I can still hear the stereo...a little..lol
DocO Posted August 23, 2008 #13 Posted August 23, 2008 Hey Phil, check out my gallery! http://www.venturerider.org/forum/vbpicgallery.php?do=view&g=1851 I love the sound!
michael49040 Posted July 31, 2009 #14 Posted July 31, 2009 (edited) JC Whitney has a pair of universal slip-ons for around $200 bought a pair for my 2000 venture sounds nice but a little loud all the deer move out of the way now. Item #ZX17086W for 27" #ZX01737U for 32" I got the 32" & turned them down looks nice out the back Edited July 31, 2009 by michael49040 bad spelling
Sylvester Posted July 31, 2009 #16 Posted July 31, 2009 I'll send you my neighbour's dog! Heck, I'll bring my five dogs, all of which weigh over sixty pounds including a St. Bernard. Got to love country life!

I'd find another way to get at this person if it means that much to you. Then too, what about YOUR hearing?? If you're riding the darn thing, YOU get to enjoy (?) that racket full time.....Loud pipes almost inevitably result in the RIDER experiencing far more noise than can be tolerated without PERMANENT hearing loss!!! Can you say "tinninitis"? I ya really wanna bug 'im, put on a LOUD stereo outside, then leave on your quiet bike and let him "enjoy" the stereo 'till the wee hours... Easier on you, cheaper, and no long term health problems!
BoomerCPO Posted July 31, 2009 #18 Posted July 31, 2009 To hell with changing the pipes.........Shoot me yer addy and I'll ship my MIL Overnight Express right to your front door..........No Charge!!.....2 weeks with my MIL in your neighborhood and you'll see For Sale signs popping up like mushrooms. Boomer......who has tried this 6 times and is hoping #7 is the charm.
Seaking Posted August 1, 2009 #19 Posted August 1, 2009 I have a neighbor I would very much like to annoy so what would be the cheapest set of slip on pipes for a 07 RSV? Thanks Phil Hey Phil, try looking up LAROSA (larossa) downturn pipes for Harley's and you can mount these on your Venture.. loud? Holy frikken CRAP!! lol.. nice deep throated rumble with a viciously nasty BARK when you blip the throttle.. Everyone loves hearing those pipes, well bikers do..but non bikers hate them.. My wife can hear me coming home from many blocks away LOL.. wow.. You can see and hear them at the bottom clip on this page: http://www.myvstar.ca/waverley/ The audio doesn't do them justice.. *I* have to wear earplugs as they hurt my ears.. but get them up to speed 75- 80 MPH and they quiet right down =)
