In looking at the member list, it appears that there are more VR riders here in Amarillo than myself, yet I have seen none other than my own bike save one more maroon colored VR that's up for sale at the place where I bought mine.

I think the "bike nights" tend to draw more of a Harley crowd. They can park their bikes and socialize which seems to be what the Harley crowd is all about(mostly).

Venture owners are riders, you will see us out riding the roads instead of parked beside it styling and profiling.

I think royalstarjac said it best. The "Harley" crowd seem to be more into riding to a meet or tavern, then sittting around bragging about how bad thier bike is. Just a few minutes ago I spoke to a man that has a Heritage Softail Springer. He says that he can only stand about 150 miles a day on it. He wants a Ulta so he and the wife can make some 400 mile days. When I mentioned that the wife and I just did 4500 in 10 days, he said "there is no way that I would ever ride that far". So I am perfectly happy touring the country riding on my "Harley wannabe" and being a "biker wannabe".:dancefool:
