CrazyHorse Posted August 5, 2008 #1 Posted August 5, 2008 (edited) I was looking for any info on a possible successor to the Venture and found this http://www.gizmag.com/yamaha-set-to-release-worlds-quickest-motorcycle/9424/ its about the new Vmax but at the very bottom of the article a Spanish moto mag is reporting a "New touring version with a huge fairing for the U.S." whatever that means could be anything from a 2nd Gen look to a Victory Vision look, went to the article but its in Spanish and since I dont "Hable" I couldnt read it. Can anyone read it and report back? Possible 3rd Gen maybe? Edited August 5, 2008 by CrazyHorse
BuddyRich Posted August 5, 2008 #2 Posted August 5, 2008 Just like any other manf they use a single engine on multiple bikes so I would expect they will be redoing the RSV and RSTD. They put a lot of time and effort into making that engine. Not to use it in different configurations would make no sense.

Google translate works great for articles like this. http://www.google.com/translate_t?sl=es&tl=en I went through the rather lengthy story and didn't see anything about touring bikes until page 706 and all it talked about was the fact that the Yamaha V-4 was on the tourers. Didn't spend a ton of time looking so I might have missed it.
