BradT Posted August 3, 2008 #2 Posted August 3, 2008 Does anyone know the size of the big nut on top Think you had a large helmut ? For some reason 32mm rings a bell or 1.25" BUt do not quote me. Torque is not very high, book say torque to 36 ftlbs then back off and re-torque to 2.2 ftlbs. BRad
IH Truck Guy Posted August 3, 2008 Author #4 Posted August 3, 2008 Thanks,guys..I think I wiil get with my neighbors and try to reclaim some of my tools.
Guest seuadr Posted April 20, 2010 #5 Posted April 20, 2010 so i found this thread and i ask : the two bolts on top, where the handlebars are attached.. are they also 32mm? gonna have to go buy a socket and would like to get away with only buying one!
RedRider Posted April 20, 2010 #7 Posted April 20, 2010 I think the nut you are referring to is 27 mm (on a 2nd Gen). Is this the one in center of the triple tree on the top of the steering stem? If you find out, let me know. I will be coming down to Milwaukee this week and can loan you the 27 mm socket and a Dingy-made steering head spanner wrench. RR
