Most store clerks I have talked with dont really know about GPS. So I could use a little help. I am 72yrs old and up until a small stroke a few yrs back I was fairly compitent with electronics. Now I have some problems...mostly memory.

I dont want the super slab, quickest, shortest route to destination. I was wondering if there is a GPS system that can be programmed to give points of interest along the way between destinations? I would like to know if I am going to be passing within a couple of miles of the biggest ball of twine or if there is a scenic route less traveled? Is there a GPS system that offers that or anything close? Any suggestions on GPS Systems and user friendly systems as well would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, absolutely! The Garmins Zumo550 or the less expensive Zumo450 both will do that. You can download already set up points of interest from places like the www.poifactory.com (it's free) and you can get instructions on how to do it from the site. You can get lots of usefull info from www.zumoforums.com . You can also purchase preformated routes and trips from various travel sources, you will see them referenced on both of the above sites. Don't let it intimidate you, it's all much easier than it first seems.

Thanks gang

After being off a bike for 35 yr.,I'M BACK. I"ve

plained (in great detale) several trips, using Atlis and note pad--looks great on paper--but I"m tkinking I might have a problem, keeping track of all this stuff at 60mph. Really wasn"t looking forward to sightseeing through a windsheld fill of stickey notes.

Now if I could just get the vcr to stop flashing 12:00
