mini-muffin Posted July 29, 2008 #1 Posted July 29, 2008 They just had an earthquake around L.A. said it was felt down to San Diego and slightly in Vegas. Doesn't seem to be anyone hurt so far. Hope you all are ok out there. Margaret
juggler Posted July 29, 2008 #2 Posted July 29, 2008 From the news reports they appear to be shaken but not stirred. http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D927MVFO1&show_article=1
GigaWhiskey Posted July 29, 2008 #3 Posted July 29, 2008 Yanno, I would rather be in an earthquake in California than a tornado (been in some growing up). But California has had way to many quakes for me lately. Hope all is ok.
Condor Posted July 29, 2008 #4 Posted July 29, 2008 Taking a nap in the recliner. Didn't feel a thing.... http://earthquake.usgs.gov/eqcenter/recenteqsus/Maps/US10/32.42.-125.-115.php

mbrood Posted July 29, 2008 #8 Posted July 29, 2008 Supposed 5.8 out of Anaheim. Felt it down in Oceanside, though... just a gentle rumbler down here... did nothing but freak out the ankle biter of a dog... didn't even rattle windows.
GeorgeS Posted July 29, 2008 #9 Posted July 29, 2008 lots of small ones, is much better then ONE Big one !!!
Lone Eagle Posted July 30, 2008 #10 Posted July 30, 2008 Thanks for asking about the West Coast gang - those "small quakes" just shake things around, maybe bust a glass or two - but here in No Cal anyway, we have been having a bunch of small ones - which I guess is better than the BIG ONE they keep saying is coming?!
Princess M Posted August 2, 2008 #11 Posted August 2, 2008 Dknight, my daughter and I were at Disneyland. We weren't on any rides, just eating lunch. It was too bad and we never felt any of the aftershocks. Disneyland did have to shut down all of there rides for a couple of hours to inspected and reboot everything. I thought they did it fast. I don't think most cities could do as well. After everything was up and running again it was like nothing ever happened.
