Gray Ghost Posted July 29, 2008 #1 Posted July 29, 2008 I had to go to Hawaii and Alaska recently for business (yea, rough job). In both places I had a very pleasant rental experience and wanted to recommend the places in case any of you get the chance to go there. Hawaii - In Honolulu the rental company I used was Big Kahuna Rentals http://www.bigkahunarentals.com. In the cruiser style they had some Harleys and a couple of smaller Honda Shadows. I rented a 750 Shadow, it was perfect for the island, after all there ain't a whole lot of miles there. Alaska - In Anchorage I used Alaska Rider http://www.akrider.com. Their cruisers were all Harleys. I rented a KLR 650 dual sport for my off day, first time on a dual sport, but then again I did get on some roads I would not have wanted to be on with the Venture.
Dano Posted July 29, 2008 #2 Posted July 29, 2008 If you're on Maui, check out Island Riders if they're still there. We rented a 95 Heritage softail when we were there in 96, great bike for checkin' out the coastline. Wouldn't want to do it in a cage!! Dan
GigaWhiskey Posted July 29, 2008 #3 Posted July 29, 2008 Wish these rental places had RSV's. I would rent one just to ride it for a couple days. Unless someone around me was to rent me theirs for a couple days. Like that would happen .
Missionary Rider Posted July 30, 2008 #5 Posted July 30, 2008 I also had a very positive experience with Big Kahuna rentals. Well, except for the rinky dink sort-of-a helmet they had for me to wear. Still, good guys to work with. Lynn
