buddy Posted July 28, 2008 #3 Posted July 28, 2008 I'm in the process of getting all the info. and call backs done. As soon as I get it all together I will have it posted . So far I have three Hotel/Motel and camp site set up for us but I rather get it all complete before i post it . i'm still waiting on two call backs so I should have it all done tomorrow. Buddy
Snarley Bill Posted July 28, 2008 #4 Posted July 28, 2008 we are getting registration set up soon. there will be a registration fee to cover the cost of the final dinner which will be catered, the t-shirts and patches, the id tags, and any other costs we incurr. i have asked black owl to come on board and help me with this and i think he has accepted. it's a little early yet we have to get a price per person on the above mentioned things. if we have money left over after the meet it goes in a special fund to help with future meets. thats the way don explained it to me. it is a non profit meet, but will cost a significant amount to put on. when we get it all worked out we will begin to take registrations. maybe black owl can jump in and fill in the details. bill
Freebird Posted July 28, 2008 #5 Posted July 28, 2008 I should clarify this just a bit. It is non-profit for ME. I have never tried to make any money off our rallies for me or for the site. We don't mind making a bit of money if we can though. If so, it goes into a fund to help with the next rally. The International Rally does usually require a bit of upfront money for deposits for the catered dinner, breakfasts, etc. Therefore, we do try to keep a bit of money in a fund to cover such things. For example, we forwarded a bit of money to ReinyRooster and team for the rally in Kitchener. After they total everything up, they will hopefully be able to return that money from the registration proceeds and etc. If they made any extra money, they will forward it also. So, while it is not my goal to personally profit, it is nice if we can keep some money in the account for such needs in the future.
