ride safe ride free--dave

I went with a progressive and I have never been happier. I forget what the shop wanted for a replacement, but progressive was cheaper and the ride is smoother. I had the shock set for medium ............. I guess midway thru the adjustment. I'm glad I did it. It is nice not waiting for the air shock or the line to go bad on a 20 plus year old bike. joe

I had a new shock made up to order which is 'coilover' and fully adjustable for preload. I didn't choose the right spring first time (alright, second time, they supplied the wrong one first time) but I've been petty happy with it. I think it cost about £120 three or four years ago, but would cost less for you 'cos there's no VAT.

I had mine made 1/2" longer than standard to give me a little more flexibility too.

Say i was wondering where you got your progressive rear shock.

I have an 83 venture royale, do you happen to know if they make one for this bike.

Any contact info as to where I can look would be helpful, thanks

Progressive doesn't list the shock on their website now :(

True, but you can still get the Progressive shock here:

And here, for a bit less dollars:

"my air ride is not working properly" the COMPUTER LEVELING SUSPENSION circuit board needs re-soldered.

Took mine to a local computer repair he did it for $20 and it works great now.

The heat from the engine once you stop riding heats the board and it cracks the solder over time.
