Sunman Posted July 24, 2008 #1 Posted July 24, 2008 (edited) I found a really good deal on some motorcycle luggage, if anyone is interested. I first saw this particular piece at my local bike shop, and really liked it's quality and features. The luggage is EMGO and the model is called the BUFFALO BAG, at least that is what it is called in their catalog. Here is a picture. http://www.motorcyclepartsandapparel.com/emgo-deluxe-backrest-bag-set.html The bag is 2 parts that hook together, to give you tons of room. Also they come with a vinyl cover that is big enough for both pieces. At the shop, they were on sale for $159.00 (CDN) That page has it on for $129.00 I believe the bag is worth that much. At least it is to me. Now, here is the thing. I have found a full case of these bags (5 complete sets) for $160.00 That is right, $32 a piece if I buy all 5. Plus shipping of course. If there are any members in the Upstate NY, or southern Ontario area, that might be interested, let me know. I will front the $$ to get them. And will gladly meet up with you guys to get you yours. I will assume we split the costs 5 ways, I am not looking to make a penny on this deal. The bags are good qual, if you want to see one, and are near Hamilton, they have them at Kelly's cycle. I am not sure if these would suit the Venture crowd, but if you know someone with a sissy bar on their bike, who could use some luggage room when traveling. I also believe, that when off the bike, there are shoulder straps as well as handles for carrying these bags. Pass this on. If no one is interested, I will just buy 1 of these from the supplier, still a great deal. I am even willing to ship these bags, but of course, the additional shipping will be on you. Just tossing this out there. Please contact me via PM, email, phone (905) 929-2237, carrier pigeon, smoke signals or telegram Sonny EDIT This is from the EMGO website Features a two-piece pack system that fits on most luggage racks and sissy bars. Each large backpack comes with mesh side pockets, a roll bag, a cargo net, and a removable vinyl liner that is waterproof and fits easily into the roll bag. If you go to the EMGO website, and clic on catalogs, this luggage is on page 3.50 and is model number 72-32468 I just want to be clear which bags these are. Hope some of you might be interested. I know they are designed for sissy bars, but I am sure they would fit into trunks as well. Edited July 24, 2008 by Sunman

Bob Myers Posted July 25, 2008 #7 Posted July 25, 2008 I proudly bought one of those "Buffalo Bags" for my wife. While on a trip to NC last month we ran into rain. The cheap dye in that bag ran onto and and ruined every piece of clothing in her bag. My Tbag was as dry inside as it were before the rain.

Wow, thanks for the heads up, I will make sure that I use the vinyl cover that it comes with in the rain. I know the bags themselves are not water tight, but it does come with a proper and substantial rain cover. But I do appreciate the review.

Sunman Posted July 25, 2008 Author #10 Posted July 25, 2008 Hmm, hers did not or it would have been on there! I wonder if it is the same bag then. These ones by EMGO, come with a cargo net, and 2 vinyl rain covers. I do know they changed the design in 2007 as well, more reflective striping and different zippers. Maybe they changed the fabric too. I have never seen Nylon that had dye run, I thought Nylon was a solid material, the thread used to weave it is the color of the fabric. But, for the price, a bit of care is worth the effort. Sonny
Bob Myers Posted July 25, 2008 #11 Posted July 25, 2008 it is a faux leather looking thing, yes it is an emgo bag. Must be older then since it is faux leather
Sunman Posted July 25, 2008 Author #12 Posted July 25, 2008 it is a faux leather looking thing, yes it is an emgo bag. Must be older then since it is faux leather That is not the same bag. These bags are clearly nylon shell, not even close to leather. If you look at the link in my OP, you will see what they look like.
Bob Myers Posted July 25, 2008 #13 Posted July 25, 2008 (edited) looks just like hers, except hers looks more like leather. Obviously a different bag Edited July 25, 2008 by Bob Myers
