Dakota Posted July 23, 2008 #1 Posted July 23, 2008 I made the mistake of removing almost everything from my 87 1300 including most of the electrical, but didn't use the controller to let the air out of the suppenson. What's the best way to do this now?
Black Owl Posted July 23, 2008 #2 Posted July 23, 2008 The pump and solenoids for the suspension system are located under the rear trunk. You can open the air lines at the assembly and bleed down both the front and rear shocks. If I remember correctly it will take 2 10mm wrenches to open the lines. Hope this helps. BTW: You going to be able to join us for the Pork in the Pines this year?
Dakota Posted July 23, 2008 Author #3 Posted July 23, 2008 Thanks! Since I have the 87 parts bike and the guy I bought the 89 from had a problem with the class going out all the time and removed it, so I'll be using the one off the 87 and if need be, have everything alse to use also. Also is that where the presure sensor is located?

Also is that where the presure sensor is located? Yes, all one package. The compressor, manifold with the servos on side and pressure sensor on end and the desiccant holder are all mounted together. Bob Myers Posted July 24, 2008 #6 Posted July 24, 2008 Just put progressive springs on and forget the CLASS system I put progressives in and left out the 1inch long spacer. It sits up on the kickstand now, actually looking like it may tip over, riding 2 up(collectively we weigh around425) with zero air pressure it still rides high enough that it took about 25 turns on the headlamp adjuster to get the headlamp down to a reasonable level. Now to do something with the rear to eliminate the bottoming
Guest Ken8143 Posted July 24, 2008 #7 Posted July 24, 2008 Isn't there a progressive for the rear mono shock?
Freebird Posted July 24, 2008 #8 Posted July 24, 2008 I'm pretty sure that Works Performance makes one also.
