Long Tall Posted July 23, 2008 #1 Posted July 23, 2008 Hey All: Just wanted to post some info on accessories and prices....I did a check on a couple of Yamaha dealership web sites on some chrome parts I'm ordering...Here is the info I think is important...NOTE...I have been following and checking the prices for about 6 months now... http://www.yamahasportsplaza.com/ I have ordered from them once back in the Spring....I live in Virginia and time and price at the time was less than anyone.....for the parts I want now, their price is $566.09...Shipping from Washington State to Virginia is $24.34....Total price is $590.43 http://www.motorsportssupercenter.com/ Best price I could find....for the same parts the price is $558.54...Shipping from Alabama to Virginia is $18.58.....Total price is $577.12.... I'm going to place the order with the Alabama store tomorrow....I'll see how it goes with them and update this post... George in Virginia....
flb_78 Posted July 23, 2008 #2 Posted July 23, 2008 Ive had good luck with Zanotti. They had the best price for my new ignition switch. The only thing I didn't like is that you have to have the part number. It's not a big deal because so many other dealers post the parts breakdown. http://www.zanottimotor.com/Yamaha.html
WIKD Posted July 23, 2008 #3 Posted July 23, 2008 Been using motorsports supercenter for years without a problem. Good price and shipping is low.
wkboard Posted July 23, 2008 #4 Posted July 23, 2008 (edited) Have you checked Flatoutmotorcycles.com? I have been very pleased with them and their prices in the past. I have ordered 3 times, and am working on another order now. http://www.flatoutmotorcycles.com/ Edited July 23, 2008 by wkboard added link
MAINEAC Posted July 24, 2008 #5 Posted July 24, 2008 Here's the place I found with the cheapest prices... But the thing is if you call in your order it's cheaper than their online prices... so you look up the part #s and call it in and save more money... click on the banner to go there.. http://cdn-3.psndealer.com/e2/dealersite/images/carolinacycle/3stores.jpg

They sell cheaper online than over the counter, and I used to order online then go by and pick up my order in person (I lived fairly close by). They are one of the few dealerships that has always been easy to do business with. It's nice to have a variety of places that give good prices and service, as some discount differently depending on what you need.

Thanks for the input... George In Virginia...
Sunman Posted July 24, 2008 #8 Posted July 24, 2008 I just placed a nice sized order with motorsports as well. I did the same order on yamahasportsplaza, and here is what I found. On a $500 order, motorsports was cheaper by $7, but sportsplaza was cheaper on shipping by $1. So, motorsports it is! Now we just gotta see how long all that stuff takes to get to Bob in NY.
MAINEAC Posted July 24, 2008 #9 Posted July 24, 2008 Thanks Maineac: Called and talked to their parts guy....very nice and honest upfront....He said on accessories....he could not touch the prices I quoted him on stuff I wanted from http://www.motorsportssupercenter.com/ So far they are the cheapest by far...He did say he could beat anyones price on parts...But not on accessoris....Chrome, etc... Thanks for the input... George In Virginia... OK George.. that makes sense cuz I bought a regulator off them and it was cheaper than So. Seattle and cheaper than the price on their own website... I tell ya.. you really can't go too wrong with any of these guys and they go up and down where 1's cheaper this week and the other is next week... But a big order like yours it's worth shopping around... BTW what ya buy for acc.?

Given several time options based on where the parts would come from Yamaha...Georgia/California etc..... 2. Made call to check on order....Friendly....Helpful....Told order was shipped and given tracking number...checked online and scheduled to be at my office on Tuesday the 5th. TOTAL TIME ON PHONE WITH BOTH CALLS.....10-15 min....top....Friendly/Helpful...Nice.... They'll get more of my business.... George in Virginia.... :clap2:
M61A1MECH Posted August 3, 2008 #11 Posted August 3, 2008 I woukd also suggest that anyone looking for accesories check this web site https://www.rickroushaccessories.com/store/index.php, they advertise that they will beat any advertised internet price. Some times they are lower some times not, but I have challeneged them on lower pricing and they have always beat the best price I could find on the net.
