Now they don't ship to Canada, anyone else got an idea????

Best price so far though, and if I decide to go that route I'm sure some American buddy will help out.

Thanks Carl

Ah, well that puts a twist on things! :080402gudl_prv:

Carl, some places will let you ship to a US address...if they will do that, you can ship it to mu cousins place where we rode to that time, and then we can go get it from there. Let me know.

for the best bang for the buck you might as well get the ZUMO 550.. though it's more money you do get a lot more with it.. nothing sucks getting a 450 and then realizing you want the car adapters and then end up having to pay a little more than the 550 which comes with all that... and you have blue tooth on the 550..

I have the 450 but ended up getting all the 'extras' of te 550 due to an advertising mistake if which the website made good on their error. Nice of them.

Keep in mind the 450 / 550 ZUMO are made for bikes and may not seem as full featured as other GPS on the market for cars. But for the bikes, these are indeed the best to get and they give you all the info you need or want on the fly..

I might also add that the 550 has text to speech which give you street names as well. The 450 does not have that feature either.

Bought my Lowrance from GPSCentral out of Calgary.

Found them to be very good to deal with.

The people I know with the 450 (StreetPilot version) say they wish they had gone the Zumo route. Think the 550 gives you Bluetooth, etc.

Cheers,

Is that true? The 450 fails to include the car adapter?

Does not have the Car adapter either. The 550 does. Made my car adapter fairy easy.

It doesn't come with the car adapter.. I got mine included because they had mistakenly advertised it as a same package as the 550... but when I received it minus all the add ones, and called them up on it, they thanked me for pointing out the mistake and sent me all the add ons anyway. Good customer service. (And yes they quickly fixed their site details, Garmin as well ; ) I was one of the first Canadians to purchase the 450/550 Zumo hence why the mistaked wasn't picked up right away..

the 450 is cheaper to buy but I would have gone the 550 if I were buying one today.. Either model is awesome.

Cheers

Oh and yes, you can play the MP3s through your Venture's sound system AUX channel. I have an 8G card in mine to hold pics and tunes (I'm a photographer as well so this serves me well to carry my portfolio around with me =)
