HLFTONCHRRY Posted July 22, 2008 Author Posted July 22, 2008 well the bike is new to me and I love it, but my question is this. after cruising the bike for a while and getting back to an "in town" mode, the valve train seems to be extremely noisy. especially between 1500 and 2000 rpm. The dealer tells me thats normal. have you noticed anything with yours?
stardbog Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 Well, They do have some Noise / whine coming from engine in low speed ( Eh Yamaha), That's Normal but I didn't hear your Noise to give you best advice. As Far I know there was issue with new strat's front pulley bolt get loose, as well check Belt drive is it to loose. This is not common issue, but have couple reports of strange noise coming out of transmission. Hey John, What are you doing this sunday, we may hook up and have some lunch or Drink. There is some nice roads in St Charles Area. Let me know and maybe somebody else want to join us. Good Luck
HLFTONCHRRY Posted July 22, 2008 Author Posted July 22, 2008 Thanks for the input, guess I will just ride it and see what happens. dont think its a serious issue was just wondering if anyone else has had the same opinion of the valve train noise. could be my ocd ear. No riding this weekend, owner of the shop is out of town, just me here all weekend. hopefully we can get together soon
