stereo upgrade

I am sure this has been discussed many times but I am new here and was getting cross eyed looking at all the posts. I would like to upgrade the quality of my sound system on the 04 venture. I have put some barons pipes on and obviously it hurt the stereo sound. I tried to use chatter box systems but they are terrible! I have read on the star web site about the speaker upgrades but I was wondering is it possible to add an amp as well.

 

Any help would be much appreciated, I love this bike, I have had it almost two years and would have another in a heart beat. Sites like these are excellent thanks in advance.
